I found this thread (after I wrote the comment here: https://board.jdownloader.org/showpo...2&postcount=16).

With this two new *.jar files in the \libs directory (not renamed!) the extraction of 7z files works fast again and with the same speed as *.rar or *.zip files.

My System:
Win10 64bit (build 1607, version 14393.479), fully updated
newest available JD, fully updated

This works also vor my "orange pi pc2".

As mentioned in that thread you already got the rar5 version for aarch64. Can you please add it to the list? I would test it.

I downloaded the new files but the extraction doesn't work. The rar5 archive is password protected and the password is not accepted. I tried in several ways (pw assigned to the archive, pw in the list, pw manually entered when requested) but the result is the same.

I tried another archive and it works.
Not sure what happened with that one, but it seems everything is fine.

It's a huge archive (many GB). However it was probably something with the file, since I extracted several other rar5 password protected archives without problem.

I just need the link(s) to the file and password. Size doesn't matter
Yes, it has to do with the file. JDownloader checks for known/valid file format signatures when verifying passwords else it would need to extract the complete file for each password to verify
In case you cannot provide links, a teamviewer session would also be fine.

I downladed the archive again and it works. Sorry it was simply a corrupted download .

By the way thank you very much, I've been waiting for this extention for several years, checking from time to time the progress of development .

So far, I downloaded at least 10 multiarchive password protected rar5 files and the extractions are smooth, using automatic extraction and the password list with multiple passwords on it.

Therefore on my side, betatest is passed .

@yabba235: Thanks for the feedback!. I'm sorry but I don't know if multithreading is enabled in this compiled. I can check/ask but does it really matter ?

i successful built the jars under arm (dns-340l nas with ffp) but it keeps crashing, i guess because it built for arm instead then arm2 (as the original library we use in the 'original' plugin). i really can't see how to have a debug log from sevenzip only, could anyone help?

When exactly does it crash? Do you have some crashlog? Do the tests from sevenzip work fine?

i'm going to build again as the ctest always fails with 15.02 but passes with trunk (which has no rar5 support)
will let you know and will attach the crashlog, if any

ok, so the problem is related to the changes in the code... i built under arm the version i knew was working under linux x86 (commit 983491087bee4211c2e590f97f4ecb45130b4c08) and it worked
did anyone try to build the newest code under any environment but arm? i'd like to know if it's a problem with arm or with the code

Please use migrate-to-15.09-try2 branch
github.com/borisbrodski/sevenzipjbinding/tree/migrate-to-15.09-try2
This is the version that is currently used for public testing

We have working versions for Linux, Mac, Windows, FreeBSD and Linux(Arm) not linked yet. Will do asap

Windows link on the first page isnt update, its always v. 15.02-2.01 beta, not Version 06.10.2016-001.

When new version will be avaible do we update manually or jdownloader will update it?

@Jolla
I've updated first post to inform what version is for
The version is the upload date so you know when never updated one is available.
15.02 is correct in JDownloader
