Just save the "config" folder and copy it to the new JD!

Great.
Now I'm on "UPDATES VERFÜGBAR: 132" I try to do an update, it does something for about 1 second, so I doubt it is actually updating. Hardly anything in the log:

Now I have 128 updates pending. Nothing updated and nothing happened, except the new dialog box, that reassuring me "it's not a crash".
Here's updatelog:

If you already have the 5.949 this "XXX updates available" thing is just a screen but which shows updates that aren't there;)

JD updated to v0.6.111, apparently successfully.
However, after the update JD now displays" "--> UPDATES VERFUGBAR: 1" First I executed the manual update. JD went through the update process, started up again, and displayed the same "--> UPDATES VERFUGBAR: 1" message on the top line of the program. Then I shut down JD, restarted it, and JD displayed a pop up window saying there was 1 Update. I allowed JD to go through the update again and when it restarted, the same UPDATES VERFUGBAR: 1 message appeared. Actually, while writing this post, I thought I'd try the manual update again. This time JD reported there were 7 updates. I allowed it to do that update and after another successful update, JD again displayed UPDATES: VERFUGBAR:1. So, I let JD update again and the same notice about 1 update being available was displayed. So JD appears to be in a loop about that one pending update. |

try again, seems you tried to update while filelist was offline (to save bandwith so we can spread update on all updateservers)

But when JD completed the update, the message popped up again saying that there was still one update and JD continued to display the UPDATES VERFUGBAR: 1 message. I allowed JD to go through the update cycle two more times and that message still appears. |

I'm running v0.6.111.
However, the problem is probably related to Java v1.5. I have one machine running v1.5, which exhibits the UPDATES VERFÜGBAR problem but on another machine running Java v1.6, I don't have the problem. |

I was using version .5.949, with "UPDATES VERFUGBAR 290" ! yesterday,
(Why isn't this in English, BTW?) Finally it could do an update and I am now on version 0.6.111. But I still have "UPDATES VERFUGBAR 1". Tried three times to update, this one is still there. UpdateLog.txt:

I see that I have a file: Català-Valencià.lng dated 29/5/09, so it looks like it's the old version. I strongly suspect that the accented "a"s in the name are causing problems. Either JD can't download it or can't install it. Maybe it works on some OS, but not mine (Win2k.) I suggest you just use ASCII names. (And while you're at it, please change "english.lng" to "English.lng". Either all languages should be capitalised, or none; now it's mixed.) EDIT: I deleted "Català-Valencià.lng" and JD was then "UPDATES VERFUGBAR 2", and replaced it when I updated. So perhaps I was wrong about that. But I DO NOT have the "Catalan.lng" file, and I'm pretty sure (now) that this is the "UPDATES VERFUGBAR 1" that is outstanding no matter how many times I try. PLEASE make language updates optional. I don't want the hassles of dealing with a dozen language files I will never use, that can cause problems like this. Last edited by Gweilo; 13.06.2009 at 07:32. |
