And apparent you are removing points from honest accounts as well.

Either the system works or it doesn't. You should roll to a back up from before you started 'upgrading' thing.

If you guys want to test the new- captcha-credit-saving uploaded.to limit handling, go to the plugin settings and activate the 2nd setting.

I think the options from PSP for the uploaded.net-Plugin will avoid the waste of credits.

Nevertheless the CBH-System has a problem with captchas like this:

Code:
3492 : 29.08.2012 19:32:34 : console started... v1.1.7
3492 : 29.08.2012 19:32:34 : JD Process ID file deleted!

3492 : 29.08.2012 19:32:53 : result is : OK-on user-
I think a unsolved captcha, (--> a captcha-request with no answer) should not be credited.

Default important reminder for all JD2 users

Hi all
i have noticed that when you fresh install a new JD2, you must change GraphicalUserInterfaceSettings.captchadialogtimeout setting in the Advanced Settings to 35 seconds.

By default, its 20 and that causes JD to not wait enough our plugin to finish his work.

So, please dont forget to modify that value after installing JD2.

@blacksun : please modify that value and that error should be fixed.

Are you sure that this value also effect the waiting-time on a captcha-method?
When I think of the value-name I would think that this value is only for showing the captcha-dialog.

2.
When I get a reCaptcha-Image like this on in the solver:

what shall I enter for the second word?

Normally reCaptcha use 2 Words. But in the last time I get many captchas like this one. you can only read one word

3. api
Did you make any chances on the api for entering captchas?

Hi,
1. I believe that same setting is used for both interactive dialog and plugin methods. When it was 20, i got the same error you had, when i increased it to 35, it worked well. You can test it too.

2. Honestly, i don't know Always try your best, if nothing is readable, i think leaving it blank is the only way. I also don't suggest users to enter only one word when there are 2 readable words, google sometimes doesn't accept it. You can test some recaptchas at http://www.google.com/recaptcha/learnmore

3. I occasionally make some changes to the api.

I set it to 50 and at the moment I got the captcha-dialog to enter it manually very often
When i look on the Captchas, i dont unterstand why cbh cant solve it because the captcha are good

I discovered another problem with captchas from turbobit like this one:

the CBH-Plugin cannot access the file:

When I execute the cbhWinPlugin.exe I have the same problem.

Hi,
i think it says file is used by another process. can you open task manager and check if another instance of CBH is hang on!? if so, kill it.

for timeout problem : in database, your captchas are answered correctly, however you plugin stops asking the result before 30 seconds. can you try to run plugin exe manually ( turning jd off ) and check task manager to see if it runs about 35 seconds before it stops.

to find the problem, please help me an the JD-Devs by answering the following questions:

- do I get get a answer on any Captcha-request?
- is there a timeout for getting a answer?
- if there is a timeout or the plugin get no answer, what does the plugin do (so that the Plugin-starter like JD can react on it)?
- has the plugin the opportunity to start a second try if there ist a problem/no anwser or does the execution-Tool (--> JD) need to start a second try by starting the plugin again?

- what means f1 ...f3?

this Log looks different:

Code:
5632 : 30.08.2012 12:21:21 : captcha sent to server. Captcha code is 63LjoMiuFjD_3008201205
5632 : 30.08.2012 12:21:21 : f1 begins...

5632 : 30.08.2012 12:21:29 : result is : OK-new-
- what means "CC not Empty"?
- what means "OK-new"?
- is "OK-new" an abortion and if yes, caused by the plugin/CBH-System itself or caused by the plugin-starter (-->JD)?

===========================================
Second question (has nothing do to with my problem mentioned above):

At the moment JD starts a JAC-method like the CBH-plugin more than 1 time. For example I download 2 Files. 1 from ul.net and 1 from share-online.biz.
Both use reCaptcha. so JD starts the plugin 2 times.
I think the result is at the moment that the second start abort the first execution, right?
Can the plugin handle simultan executions?

Last night my CBH-plugin used more that 2000 credits to download 8 files from share-online.biz!
After the 8 files the log shows only every minute:
Code:
... f4 finished... CC Empty
... asking result.
... result is : OK-on user-
No answer code, no download but thousand of credits!

hi,
@blacksun :
- f1...fn are functions to detect if previous captcha should be complained, doesn't relate to current captcha. as much as i can remember, CC empty means no need.

- "OK-New" means that your captcha is waiting on the queue on CBH server
- "OK-On User" means that your captcha is sent to a user for solving
- "OK-Answered-xxxx" means that user answered your captcha, answer is xxxx

as you can see from your log :
29.08.2012 19:32:34 : captcha sent to server. Captcha code is kDXbv2tYnOT_2908201212
.
.
.
29.08.2012 19:32:53 : result is : OK-on user-

your plugin sends the captcha at 19:32:34 and asks its result lastly at 19:32:53, which is only 19 seconds! here is the problem!!

a captcha may wait in the server for 80 seconds to be given to someone, and when its given to a user, that user has 30 seconds to solve it. putting some extra time for connection delays etc, we can say that it may take up to 120 seconds for a captcha to be solved at maximum. So the setting i mentioned before - GraphicalUserInterfaceSettings.captchadialogtimeout - should be set to 120, not 35. it was my fault to say 35 :(

- i honestly don't know what happens when two downloads want to use plugin at the same time

@Tom42 : did you check are you using JD2 and GraphicalUserInterfaceSettings.captchadialogtimeout setting?? it should be minimum of 120 seconds. there is also a similar setting with normal JD but i don't remember now :( also please send me your full log file and username to captchabrotherhood{at}gmail.com

@quick : please send me your username to captchabrotherhood{at}gmail.com

to JD Devs : is there a possibility to set GraphicalUserInterfaceSettings.captchadialogtimeout to 120 seconds by default? also where in the HDD is that setting kept? can i change it programmtically, or at least read it?

i discussed the problem with Jiaz, one of the Dev of JD.
The Setting "GraphicalUserInterfaceSettings.captchadialogtimeout" is just the Time-Out-Time for the captcha-entering-Dialog.
At the moment, JD has a fix Time-Out of 30 seconds for waiting for an answer (--> output.txt) of an external method like CBH-Plugin
So the option doesn't have any effect on the time-out-time of an JAC-method like the CBH-Plugin.

I convinced Jiaz to set a higher Time-Out-Value of 70 seconds.

But only JD2 will get this update.
On JD1 (stable, nightly) there would be no further updates. Devs are concentraiting on the development of JD2.

But what happend after 19 Seconds?? Why does the plugin finish after 19 seconds?
JD waits for an output-file for 30 seconds (and after update 70 seconds)

and because I am interested in the entries in the log, what do you mean with "complaining a captcha" and "CC..."?

Does the plugin has a interface you can say if a answer was correct??

You said that the CBH-System gives the Captcha to someone. But I think the CBH-Systems gives the Captcha to 3 different solvers.
So the system get 3 answers, and if 2 or more answers the same phrase, this will be the correct answer which is sent back to me.
So, does it not take 3x 120 seconds at a maximum?

Jiaz, the Dev of JD, says that JD serialize the requests, so a extern method like CBH can only run one times at the same time. --> http://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=41247

Exclamation how does reCAPTCHA work?

Normally reCaptcha use 2 Words. But in the last time I get many captchas like this one. you can only read one word
...
ReCAPTCHA uses two words:
- one word is the control word, which is a random letter combination created and distorted by the recaptcha server.
- the other "word" is a scanned image out of a book an old newspaper or whatever, which couldn't be definitely digitalized by OCR software (hence it is shown to a recaptcha user to let it solve him.)

Due to the nature of this: only the control word needs to be typed in correctly for a successful solve! For the other word you can type whatever you want.
See also wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ ReCAPTCHA

So in this case, just enter:
"stteam" [SPACE] and whack on your keyboard for some random letter combination and hit enter. I do it all the time and it works fine.

Hope this helps.

So much on the reCAPTCHA Issue.

@lelim / Captcha Brotherhood
I'm loosing also credits as others here already stated before. And I loose them without even using JD / CBH or something.
So I would strongly suggest you check your server security and if it has been hacked.

Please report back on this issue.

Thanks

If that does not answer you question read on. Check in JD log file on JD menu look for this log line after start JD:

That dir has the cbh integration stuff.

In "%APPDATA%\Captcha_Brotherhood\" is the cbh solver config and cbh log file that will tell you if the plugin is working properly.

In "%APPDATA%\Captcha_Brotherhood\pluginDir.txt" is path to JD plugin it will contain:

Installing solver puts stuff in
%programfiles%\Brotherhood Software\Captcha Brotherhood\
%programfiles%\JDownloader\jd\captcha\methods\captchaBrotherhood\
The latter may or may not be where you run JD from (but a copy of jacinfo.xml is updated there "update jacinfo file" menu option)

The above is what I find on my Win XP system.
:)

Hi, Skip au. Thanks for your reply, and sorry I took so long to answer.

I will try to include what information I can, following the order of your text.
I'm kind of walking on thin ice, because actually I don't quite understand how
this all works, so maybe at some point you might wonder: "Why is this guy including THIS bit of information, which has nothing to do with the subject?"
Excuse me if that happens.

I have a Windows 7 system.
I installed JDownloader and, a few days later, CBH solver. In both cases I used the default folder settings.
JDownloader installed in "C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\JDownloader 0.9".
CBH installed in
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Brotherhood Software\Captcha Brotherhood"
I don't know if this is alright.

I have two jacinfo.xml files: one in "C:\Program Files (x86)\JDownloader\jd\captcha\methods\captchaBrotherhood" and the other in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Brotherhood Software\Captcha Brotherhood\captchaBrotherhoodPlugin".
The first one contains entries for both filepost.com and rarefile.net. The second contains an entry for rarefile.net, but not for filepost.com

I checked the log file in JDownloader's "?", "Show log". I found many entries for "INFO [java_downloader]", but none of them
pointed to "JDownloader\jd\captcha\methods\captchaBrotherhood".

In my system, %appdata% is "C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming", but there's NO "Captcha_Brotherhood" folder in it. I also cannot find any file named "pluginDir.txt" in my whole HDD.

%programfiles% is "C:\Program Files". I don't have a "Brotherhood Software" folder or a "JDownloader" folder in it.

In spite of the fact that a few things don't seem to be OK with my system, let me remind you that CBH solver is working fine with other hosts, and so far it's only failed to solve filepost and rarefile captchas.

Thank you again!

I know how reCaptcha works. One word is already knows, the other word cannot be recognized by OCR.
That's not why I mentioned it here. In the last time I got so difficult reCaptchas so that it is often not possible to read the second word as human.
Of course, you could enter only the control-word, and as second word whatever you want.
you can do this when enter your own captchas. But for CBH it's not good.

I think (please correct if I am wrong) when you request a solving from other, the captcha goes to 3 different people. I think when 2 or 3 people enter the same, the CBH-system think that this is the correct answer and return this to you.
But think about when 3 people enter different things consciously.
which of the answer should the system turn back to the requester?

I think this is what lelim means with cheating.

This could be a Problem for a system which is based on comparing answers of different people which dont know each other.
F. ex. think of the captchas of solvemedia (which are used by rapidgator.net).
There are captchas which show you a symbol, brand, or something else and they say that you should descripe the captcha with any words.
F. ex. they show you the brand of cocaCola. One person say coke, the other one says cocacola, the third one says softdrink, etc.
All these answers are correct for the captcha-system, but how should a solving-system like CBH which is based on the answers of different people decide which one is the right one. The system doesnt know that there are more than one correct answer.

@ lelim
I discussed the problem of the waiting time again with Jiaz.
He will set the limit to 130 seconds. But only in JD2.
In JD1 there ist also a fixed value, and I think the devs will not change JD1.
So it's the best when some has the problem, he should use JD2, because the devs only work on JD2.

@lelim because of my problem
you say that my logfiles show no errors?
but, I think there a captchas which CBH cannot solve. What happens when CBH cannot find a answer? What does the system return then to the requester? How can I detect such a thing in the log?

investigating this error put me in a problem of cuncurrent users. what i found out is : since number of our users increased pretty fast, system started to receive captcha requests much more frequently, then after some point, it started to give same captcha to several users who asked for a captcha in a very close time to each other, about one third of a second. that caused problems when multiple users sent answer for the same captcha. this is the reason why you couldn't get credits for the captchas that you solved. Worse, probably this affected others users too, but i don't know how many and since when :( . i didn't work with such a cuncurrency before, so it was exciting and challanging for me to overcome it. And the result is : i got it fixed, i hope it will not rise again. sorry for the inconvenience.

blacksun : first of all, i want to thank you for your time investigating the problem and the info and modifications you got from Jiaz. Thoughts about the JD external plugin system and your answers:
- i think timeout duration for external captchas should be set by the plugins, maybe somewhere in the jacinfo.xml file of that plugin, or somewhere else, but it should be available somehow.
- another missing feature of the JD external plugin system is reporting the result of the captcha to the plugin. Since it doesn't exist, i found a way to detect if it was correct, but unfortunately its not reporting %100 proper results.

- CBH doesn't send one captcha to multiple users. it sends one captcha to one user. and sends back his answer to the jdownloader etc... if its detected that the answer was not correct, complain mechanism start to run, which is in upgrading phase now.
- I also don't suggest users to enter only one word, when there are 2 words readable. if there is only one word readable, then go with just writing that. but if there are 2 words readable, please write down both. otherwise, you may loose credits.
- by cheating i mean that some users write down anything not related to captcha image, instead like 222, qqq etc... they hope not being detected by complain system and earn credits that way. i am deleting few of them everyday by inspecting the answers.

- your logs has some errors. let me explain : our plugin first get some settings from the server and then sends the captcha to the server and starts to ask its state. those settings determine how many times and how frequent it should ask the state of its captcha, on phase 1 and phase 2. phase 1 is when captcha state is 'new', phase 2 is when captcha state is 'on user'. i checked the system and found that current settings were not proper. So i decresed the interval. this way its less likely to have trouble with getting captcha answers from the server. But of course, JD1 users may still have problems because of the fixed 30 seconds timeout.

- There is no captcha that CBH can't solve, because humans are solving them. If user can't answer in 30 seconds, 'user_timeout' is sent back as answer, which means he will get a complain and loose credits.

Those 2 problems, user cuncurrency and fixed timeouts, took my night to solve. i hope they will not rise again. if you have problems or suggestions, you can contact me on captchabrotherhood{at}gmail.com

You can see, Jiaz made a ticket on bugtracker, --> feature request -> adding an option so that a user can adjust this value itself

The JD-devs plan also an feature that allows a feedback from JD to the external method if the captcha was right or false.
But be careful with this. There is a danger of fraud.
Easy example: you request a captcha to be solved --> CBH solves it --> you manipulte the respond in the way that you always say that the captcha were wrong --> you get solved a captcha without spending credits

and your system can really detect persons which only solve one word instead of both??
How shall this work?
The intension of reCaptcha ist that the second word can be solved by computer.

ok, and the problems which I and other users have (need up to 50-60 credits for getting solved one captcha), is this a problem of JD or does you have to change something ?
- does the JD-devs have to do something urgently (beside of Increasing the Time-Out-Value for external methods)?
- does I have to do something?

I dont think so.
What about Captchas which don't have words as solution?
examples:
--> **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** --> you have to klick with mouse on a special symbol
--> **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** --> you have to klick with mouse on a special symbol
--> I think it was **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**, you have to solve a puzzle
--> Audio-Captchas

You think the solver and the plugin for JD can handle such captchas at the moment????
I ve never seen a captcha in CBH which has to be solved by mouse so I dont believe that CBH can handle such captchas at the moment.

Does the following captchas this still work with CBH?
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** --> animated gif
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** --> choose the right person

My intesion to the quesion if CBH always deliver a solution has also another aspect.
When I request a Solution, do I really get an answer in any case?
For example what happens then I request to solve a captcha an nobody answer. Of course the solver lose some credits. But what about me? Does the same captcha get another person to solve it?
Or does I get a emty output.txt

Or another extrem example. I made a captcha which is totally emptry, for example completely white picture, so nobody can answer it.
What does your system do?

hmm, user cuncurrency, is this really a problem??
I think it is more important that that solving captchas by others is more important because when this doesn't work correct, you lose credits.
when you solve captchas for others, you lose nothing, you still get no credits, but you dont lose something.

The Problem has nothing todo with JD.
When I start the cbhWinPlugin.exe, JD is not startet, the result is the same.

It happen with almost any captchas which are uses by the hoster turbobit.

I tested also to disable my Antivirus, without any effect.
Now I discoverd that all files for CBH are saved as input.jpg.
But the filetype of the Image is .pnp

But in programming, you said that the name of the file has to be input.jpg, so I cannnot chance to input.pnp

What do you think, where is the problem?
what can I do?
Would you be so kindly and test some captchas from turbobit (if possible under winXP)

I suppose that your plugin is too fast and the filesystem of windows blocks the access

- by cheating i mean that some users write down anything not related to captcha image, instead like 222, qqq etc... they hope not being detected by complain system and earn credits that way. i am deleting few of them everyday by inspecting the answers.
and your system can really detect persons which only solve one word instead of both??
How shall this work?
The intension of reCaptcha ist that the second word can be solved by computer.
Yeah, first of all this isn't "cheating", if the input is accepted by the server everything is fine, there is no way of "cheating". Second, I highly doubt that you (or everyone else) have the time to go through hundred (or thousands?) of logs and compare captcha image with the text of each user... I guess you are only bluffing here, which is not really helpful :-/ ....

This is probably related to this:

So let me recap this:
A "passive" user needs a captcha to be solved, due to this error it gets send to multiple users (lets say three here). This means the "passive" user looses 30 creds for one solve. And from the active user only the fastest one can submit successfully submit his solution and gets rewarded with creds for it - the others (although they have entered it correctly) do not get any credit at all... :-(

I strongly hope so...
However this Morning, I lost again 40 creds for one solve ...

This morning i started 2 downloads on 2 hosters. Both require reCaptcha.
I think there is a problem with 2 or more captchas at the same time. Nothing was solved.
This is the part of the log.

Than i stoped all, activated only 1 download and the captcha was solved on the first try.
Just to be safe the captchas should be solved in a queue step by step.

Yes, I noticed this too. Which JD-Version do you use?
This problem is not a problem which is caused by CBH. It's a Problem of the JD.

Have a look here:
http://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=41247

CBH uses files (input.jpg and output.txt) to communicate with a DL-Tool like JD. And of course this files can only be used by one solution at one time.
Jiaz, one of the 2 Devs which work on the core of JD, said that reportedly this cannot happen with JD2.
I am not sure if the handling of JD2 works correct. But we have to wait until released a update which set the time-out-time for extern methods like CBH to 130 seconds. --> http://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=41246

Not until this update for JD2 has been released, then we can say more, if the reason is a Time-Out (and the method ist started again because of this) or if JD2 perhaps start CBH more than 1 time at the same time.

//edit:
I suppose that JD1 (= Stable or Nightly) does not have this feature. Presumably JD1 doesn't have this feature so I suppose that JD1 starts more than 1 time.
Nethertheless, JD1 ist death, the Devs will not change anything on that Versions.
They only concentrate on the development of JD2. JD1 only get updates for the plugins, not for the core of JD.
So, nobody should use the JD1-versions in the future. All should switch to JD2 because only in this version you get bugfixes.

I use JD2 of course.

little update:
I downloaded two nights 10-15 files from SO. All works perfect and i payed only one credit per file.
So i think (if this was the problem) the timeout value of 130 seconds is ok.

Is there a way to not show the warning about being wrong after 10 seconds? it gets distracting after a while..

also to default not show the flash area animated stuff at the bottom?

your 10 seconds limit before you get less points is a lot of pressure already, any distraction is bad. and probably not good for performance either.

mckv: Can I ask? I've tried to get the plugin going under Linux but failed.

First, I had a problem with it finding account.txt until I realized the backslashes in your description are crucial and the account information shouldn't reside in a file "account.txt" but "share\Captcha_Brotherhood\account.txt" in folder ".local".

That problem solved, it now complains about the "startIndex" being negative and I can't figure out why. I tried to pass command line arguments via $@ to the exe but that didn't change anything.

Have you or anyone else got a clue what I'm missing?

Thanks in advance.

hi,
please check following in order :
1. You right clicked on the installer and selected "Run as Administrator" while installing CBH, and you did not received any error messages.
2. There is a folder named CaptchaBrotherhood under <JD install folder>/jd/captcha/methods/
3. the hoster that you are trying to download is included in jacinfo.xml in the folder mentioned above.
4. when jd hits a captcha while downloading, it puts a input.jpg file on the folder mentioned and starts cbhwinPlugin.exe. you can check task manager.
5. within about 20-30 seconds, a file named output.txt appears on the folder.

this is how CBH is supposed to work, please check those and inform me where this process breaks. by the way, i am also having problems with turbobit.net on JD2, don't know how to solve it yet anyone please help me how to activete CBH on JD2 for turbobit.net

The plug-in is not working ATM. Just failed with Filefactory and Depositfiles, both captchas ended popping up for me to solve them. I checked and I have more than 1400 credits.

Thanks for the program. It's working fine after moving some files to the jd directory but I have a few questions/issues.

The solver gui doesn't fully show with high dpi settings, image attached. It's workable but any chance of a fix?

Why does it need flash player activex installed?

JD is in a non-default location and it tells me it integrated with jd on every solver startup. Auto check integration is off but tried switching it on with same results. Is there any way to disable this?

Hi all,
we had a problem on server and many users couldnt use the system frequently yesterday.

for turbobit problem : i manually got a captcha ( which is in .png format ) picture from turbobit and renamed it to input.jpg, and sent it to server with cbhWinPlugin.exe and received the answer without any problem. But i couldn't get JD2 trigger my plugin when it is downloading from turbobit. i don't know where is the problem. I included turbobit.net and recaptcha and also turbobit and turbobit.net.basic in my jacinfo file and disabled JAC for turbobit, but i couldn't get JD2 trigger my plugin. i would be glad if someone help me

this does not work for me. I tried the same an I always get this error

This happens every time when it is a *.png-Captchafile. I think its a problem of all png-Files which are renamed to *.jpg. All "real" jpg-Files doesn't have this problem. So I think that it take a little bit longer to access such renamed png-Files.
Turbobit uses two types of Captchas (that is the reason why there are two keyword for jacinfo.xml). But both of them are png-Files so I cannot use them with CBH.

It is not a problem of JD because when I start cbhWinPlugin.exe manually JD isn't involved.

I have an assumption. I think that your plugin is too fast to get access to the input.jpg. I believe that windows-operation-system or the filesystem is too slow so I think two task try to access the file at the same time.

So, is there an opportunity to say your plugin that it should wait a little bit before accessing the input.jpg-File? I think 1 second would be enough.
