How do I backup selected link ?
I had arrange links categorizes at Downloads or Linkgrabber
Example : "News 5-2019" under a directory with Completed links. Can I backup the certain directory like "News 5-2019" and remove it. As in future , I may able to import back or merge the "News 5-2019" links if I plan to re download again. |

Currently that's not possible but you can backup/export and import the complete download/linkgrabber list. In your cfg folder you'll find downloadListXX.zip and linkcollectorXX.zip files that contain the current content of the list. the highest number is the current list. Later you can either drag/drop or open as container, to import/merge them.
for example use a 2nd JDownloader installation and merge the file and there you can arrange it to keep as a history and the first JDownloader installation for actual downloading

Did you mean I can manually extract the downloadListXX.zip and linkcollectorXX.zip file like 100_01 to 100_6 and paste on a new jdownloader downloadListXX.zip ?
Does it really merge with the newly installed JD2 downloadListXX.zip or I have to rename the file to 100_01 to 1_01 as for the first file to work ? I saw an option to create a link on DLC Download Link Container but creating a DLC doesn't sort it as a folder tree.It just pack all the link without the folder name intakes. |

Just use the file as it is. Do not modify it.
For downloadList files you can currently import the file either to download list (will add/merge the list to current list) or to linkcrawler (will add the list to current list). DLC is no export/backup. It doesn't work for all supported links and doesn't export any meta information.
