Default Firewall/AV issues cause failing downloads

Hey guys, I recently got a problem which is breaking most of my downloads. Everytime a download reaches 100%, the download still seems to go on, with the speed constantly approximating down to 0 kbps, until the progress bar gets reduced by some kb and the Captcha prompt appears to restart that download! I am witnessing this on files across multiple containers, up until now only for ShareOnline-hosted ones (I haven't checked on other hosts yet). It seems to work on smaller files <20MB though. This is my log ID:

18.12.17 19.41.00 <--> 18.12.17 23.06.11 jdlog://7372154433151/

Any way to fix this?
Thanks in advance!

EDIT: I just tried to download a file directly from SO and the download failed just before completion... so this problem doesn't seem to be on JDownloaders end. I hope SO fixes this soon. Anyway thanks for now.

Check your firewall/av. Those can cause such issues as they might scan the download before finishing and that may result in read timeout, as it happens in JDownloader
java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out

File downloaded fine for me. Please check your firewall/av setup.

Nothing to thank me for. Most easist test would be to uninstall firewall/av and reboot and test again, or use some sort of linux live distro and download from there

One thing that might be important to mention is that I changed my ISP recently. Downloads actually began to fail after that, and since I didn't do anything with my Firewall/AV since, it has to be that reason. But what now? Do I have to re-configure my router? Or contact my ISP? I think I will google into this issue some more.

It might also have to do with your ISP, when it is intercepting/sniffing the traffic.
You could try to use a vpn and check if it helps in your situation.
You don't have to do anything with your Firewall/av for them to begin acting strange

Good thing I had a VPN ready, and it turned out that it actually works with it! So it definitely has to be the ISP. Well since it's a kinda new cable connection and they told me they would send a technician in a few days to check if everything's fine, that might be just a matter of time, and if not I will contact them. I guess this topic is finished for now
