Default [EventScripter] Enable Packagizer's Comment to accept patterns

I have encountered a site where files downloaded do not retain their original timestamps. However, this can be inferred (near enough) from fields on the pages, as can comments. I have built a JS script to extract URLs, timestamps and comments, and can assemble links for JD using the technique of concatenating this metainfo to the rear of the URL using '#ts=' and '#cmt=' technique.

I would like to detach these from the basic URL using a Packagizer rule, but need somewhere to preserve the detached meta-info with the link until the download completes, so I can 'touch' the file with the preserved timestamp.

The Comment field would do this, except for the fact it's only set up to accept static text. Hence the request in this post title. Alternatively a UserScratch field for this sort of transient info would be handy.

I'm sorry but this request exceeds normal usage demands.
Please write yourself an EventScripter script to make this work.

Well, it's not as if I hadn't already spent he best part of a week trying to create an EventScripter script
("Trigger Required: A new link has been added"), before I asked this. I couldn't find a way to rewrite
the link URL minus the stuff I'd added ('#ts=' and '#cmt='), which was done as a bit of a workaround in itself.

Perhaps if Packegizer Rule's Comment field could accept e.g. '<jd:source:2>', it would become normal usage?!

That is not planned.
If you got questions regarding EventScripter script please ask in our EventScripter forum thread and wait for a reply.
