If you know JS and Regex you can contact support@jdownloader.org, pspzockerscene (when he ever succeeds finding a more professional ISP) or .bismarck (before his ship sinks ) for how to start programming or updating your first plug-ins.
Thx for the links, remi. I don't believe I'll be using them immediately but I definitely have something now to be looking forward to after exams.

Haha nice post remi.
Well my ISP is a bit slow but okay.
I don't know if this is correct English:
A lightning destroyed our Splitter and Router so this just had to be renewed but the problem was that no one was there to tell us what exactly was broken (till yesterday).

I'm back and supporting as good as i can^^

Just updated the plugins and gave the new fix a try and I see a few more fixes have been implemented. Namely, links for MOV and WMV no longer appear on the linkgrabber (this might be a problem for older videos that do have WMV and MOV and MP4... but it's not worth going back rly anyway). Thx guys!

Um... a few changes that seem to be accidental:
  1. If I right click the files, the Copy URL selection appears grayed out, so can't Copy URL. Didn't happen before.
  2. When there's an SD-MP4 and an HD-MP4, the plugin only grabs the HD-MP4.

That's about it. Tyvm guys.

  1. Seems like I couldn't copy the URLs because I stored the links in a DLC file and the URL can't be copied anymore... that would make it unrelated to this plugin rite?
  2. **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**. Contains HD-FLV, HD-MP4, SD-FLV, SD-MP4... but the SD-MP4 isn't grabbed.

1.Yep, links, added via DLC can't be copied.
2.Will check soon...

EDIT

Do you have an account for gametrailers?
.bismarck told me that using an account you can see/download more formats but what you maybe forgot is that JD can't see those formats because JD isn't logged in

Maybe, if you have an account, you can send me the logindata so i can check that with .bismarck.

Oh drat I didn't see the EDIT because I didn't get an email notifying about new posts to the thread...

Yes, I do have an account. Sorry but I can't show my login data because it's quite sensitive and I tend to use a few passwords across other stuff... but the registering is free so you don't actually have to pay to download
Also, you don't need an account to get access to the file... being a member just shows you the links meaning the files aren't locked away on a passworded server.

Here's a summary: if you register for free you get to see the links for the additional formats and download them by simply clicking. If you don't want to register then the only thing you can see is the streamed flashvideo. But If you know the URL for the flashvideo stream then you can download all formats because it's just replacing text in the link and the file is yours. Simple as pie.

I have a small request... you guys think you could re-enable searching for the other abandoned formats (WMV,MOV)? Older videos on the site still offer them and they are in much better quality than the streamed flashvideo.

We need example links for all and maybe you can post some direct links to other formats so we know how those links look like

It's not so much as adding support but more about restoring support. But I still got them so you guys can have a look.

Here they are, just grabbing a few links from previous posts in this thread:

Post with FLV(SD&HD), MOV(SD&HD), MP4(SD)

These links seem to be missing the WMV link... I'm beginning to suspect that GameTrailers no longer offers WMV anywhere so let's just forget about that one. About what type of files they are the extension and name are self explanatory but if you any questions just ask.

I don't want to be a bore but this caused some confusion.

This is the latest update at work right now.
(Link: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**)

For some odd reason it's getting a link for WMV. Why is it not getting HD-MP4? Does anybody know what happened? Why it happening?

Then the plugin still isn't getting the links correctly. I'm not aware it was that difficult.

Of course you don't, GameTrailers does. That is what the script is for. Knowing that, why is it still checking for WMV? You said so yourself:

According to this picture it's getting HD-WMV twice. My guess is that the incorrect WMV in both links (Resistance 3 and the one in this picture) are looking for HD-MP4 instead... but not doing it correctly. I don't know the code being written for the plugin so I don't know exactly what's happening.

Latest version running. All previous bugs are fixed and new bug introduced:

Will not check for HD-FLV.

Sample link: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
Only gets SD-FLV, SD-MP4, HD-MP4. HD-FLV?

HD-FLV for that link:
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** (83.8 MB)

What happened?

FYI, older links that still support MOV and WMV are working correctly. So the problem is the new links (the ones that incorporate HD-MP4). For additional testing please use existing links in this thread, they will suffice.

LOL. If all links fed to Jiaz (I'm sorry for the expression) work then he hasn't programmed any bugs. Of course, if tomorrow another smart guy comes with another ridiculous link that Jiaz has never seen then boum!...

Oh please... I would never try to pester anybody

If you noticed, I'm trying to use the same links that have been already posted in this thread, recycling. Thing is you guys ask me for links and screengrabs... so I just post them again. The screengrabs are always new and I make quickly tho.

Ok I have bad news: GameTrailers changed the way they offer videos AGAIN. The more pressing issue is that the method to obtain the links to these videos completely eludes me. The reason is because they changed the way they name their files (see links below). I can offer you guys the links to a sample offering but beyond that I'm absolutely clueless.

Here's the example:
Pach-Attack! - Episode 225
HD: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
SD: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

MP4(SD) (51MB): **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
MP4(HD) (148.2MB): **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

Haven't got the slightest idea how to get the FLV links or anything else. I guess this plugin will be on hold until somebody figures out how to get these new files.

Sweet! I'll chime in once I've tried it.

A technical curiosity: do you think that they would actually be streaming MP4 videos instead of FLVs?

One thing I noticed is that their MP4s now have the same video resolution as the older FLVs. Because when they first introduced MP4s the SD-MP4 had a smaller bitrate than the SD-FLV and the HD-MP4 was truly 720p while the HD-FLV was only ~540p.

yes, they are now using mp4 to stream
i guess they use mp4 now because of better compression
