JDownloader should run fine on every piece of hardware that provides at least java 1.6 and some memory/cpu

But will JD work on a ARM processor? I have only seen downloads for x86 and x64 cpu's on the download page. I was planning on making a mini download server using a micro computer such as a Banana Pi + windows iot. I have read about people using JD on their NAS, and if I'm not mistaken, most NAS'es uses ARM cpu's. Is there more information on this?

@henshin
search the forum buddy, there are multiple threads in multiple languages running JD on series of different NAS systems, and the majority are on ARM based processors!

The thing that I need to know for sure (before investing in hardware) is if there is an installer at the downloadspage that I can use. If I'm not mistaken only the JDownloader.jar would work on arm cpu's is that correct? I'm still a noob at this sort of thing so please forgive me.

We can't say, due to not knowing your hardware. All we can say if Java runs on said hardware, it should run/install JDownloader via the methods mentioned on the forum! So please search and do the research that way.

JDownloader does not care about CPU architecture. It runs on Java, so as long as you'll find a working Java version, you're good to go
