Default CRC Hash check taking uncommonly long times

Hello,
My headless JDownloader on a Synology DS216j NAS is taking up to 10 minutes for a 100MB file (SHA1 check).
This obviously slows down overall download speed because most of the time only one download is running and all the others are waiting for Hash check.

Normally you would think the drive is too slow but the resource monitor shows otherwise. This is a quite fast NAS, that can read and write with 60 + MB/s. Is the CPU limiting here? (Java takes up 40-75% CPU usage)? What can I do about it?

Please make sure to use Java from Oracle. Synology installs by default the ZERO VM jvm which is 80-100 times slower than *normal* jvm.

You can check version either via Webinterface in settings or
via ssh/putty and java -version command
