I'm using KIS 2011, but it was probably the same in 2010
Make sure that javaw.exe, java.exe are Trusted Applications then add exclusion for network traffic for it: 1. Start jD 2. Select Kaspersky icon in the tray with right mouse button 3. From the dropdown menu select Tools -> Application Control 4. Find running process: Java(TM) Platform SE binary 5. Right Mouse Key -> Application Rules 6. Select last tab (Exclusions) and turn on: Do not Scan Network Traffic (optionally you may select also: Do not scan opened files), left the rest options as turned off

Speed Drops Filesonic Only...
I've tried for WEEKS and absolutely CANNOT download using filesonic premium. I only split the file in three(also tried two) parts and when one stream drops; so does my speed.....to well BELOW 100kbps! It doesn't do it with downthemall but right now I have no other choice.
Please don't direct to the "speed problems" page.....I've already gone thru it and have no problems with ANY other hoster. If a solution has been posted I'd be grateful if someone could someone direct me to it? Thanks |

I was previously with FS but swapped to FSC just now and the speeds are really bad. I'm getting 200 - 400kb/s when I should be getting 1.7 - 1.8mb/s. I was getting 1.5mb/s with FS.
Any ideas? EDIT: I'm also getting the problem where near the end of the download it slows right down to like 10 - 50kb/s. The 20/20 drops to 1/20 or 2/20 and it's just super slow until the end. I have allowed all the stuff in my firewall and tried to limit it to 1 connection but that just makes it even slower. EDIT: If I have one download going at a time it won't reach anywhere near my max download, but if I have multiple downloads going at the same time they reach my max download speed combined, strange... can't download from filesonic with ubuntu 10.04
hello people,
since a couple of days i am experiencing a problem with downloading from filesonic: every time i try to download a file i receive a "hoster problem" and i must wait 10 minutes to download: after this time the problem remains. I tried to download directly from filesonic website and the downloads worked fine... anyone else has this problem? Time ago I have installed the plugin to solve automatically recaptchas: could it be that make mess somehow? I'm using jdownloader under kubuntu 10.04 |

@MrHuk
The phenomenon you're describing can be explained by the fact that jD doesn't support dynamic chunking. That means at the end of a download, no matter with how many connections you start a download, the download will be finished with only one connection. The solution is as simple as you described it yourself. More simultaneous downloads with only one connection will maximise your speed. @marci If you enable the option "disable automatic CAPTCHA" in Settings -> Modules -> AntiCaptcha, then you know whether the problem is caused by the anti-captcha method you're using, otherwise provide some example links and a complete and detailed log. |

Filesonic premium links showing offline
I am having an issue where JDownloader shows filesonic "premium only" links as offline. If I turn off the online checking for linkgrabber they still show offline when it tries to download them.
I can go to the filesonic web site, log in, and download just fine. JDownloader sees my filesonic as premium and I can download any link from their site that is not premium only. Anyone know of a work-around? Last edited by Jiaz; 23.08.2011 at 15:51. |

Hey there. got a Filesonic Premium account but under JDownloader all my Filesonic links end up with the mention : unexpected rangeheader format:null
Didn't happen to me before though I've been using Filesonic Premium and JD for months... Anyone knows whats going on? |

I recommend to :-
1) Allow java and javaw in your firewall and virus software. Disable (or un-install) the html/web download scanner in your virus software. 2) Reduce the Max. Con. setting (bottom right corner of jD window) to 1. Reset the affected links. |

Thank you both for your quick answers.
(Firewall is Sunbelt - Javaw is authorized) I'm gonna follow your advices, reduce Max Con to 1 and let you know if the thing is solved. Thx again! |

A log doesn't have to be attached but uploaded as described in the instructions. Please, wait for a jD programmer to analyse your log.
@Trabo I would like to test your link but I have a huge backlog of FSc links to download. Maybe a a complete and detailed log might attract the attention of jD's programmers. @little What about a complete and detailed log? @rakata Read my post #1547. If that wouldn't work, un-install your virus and restart your computer. Disabling it can still block jD. |
