The problem from the thread. The last part of the download always shows "Disconnect? Wait Xm:XXs" and doesn't start. 86 other parts of the file downloaded fine.
I'm not quite sure which parts of the log are relevant, to tell the truth... Looking through them right now. -edit- OK, here's the relevant part of the log: Code:

Except for premium users, share-online.biz restricts users to 300MB/hour. That could easily cause a "Limit Reached" error after downloading for several hours.
@bemymonkey: We always ask for the links, and a copy of the log. These can be put in a RAR file and attached to a message. If the package has only a few links, you could just list the links in the message. To get the list of links in a file, highlight the package, right click, and select Copy URL. Copy that into a text file (might use notepad). We also need to know your OS & version, JD version and Java version (you don't have to put it in the message if you attach a log, it is in there). What is very important in this case (and is not in the log) is any software you have running at the same time as JDownloader. It is especially important to list any Proxy, Antivirus, and/or firewall software. Disconnect usually means that the antivirus or firewall is interfering with the transfer. Sometimes it means that the computer got overloaded and JD could not communicate. ----------- Does the download ever continue on its own (after 10-20 minutes)? Does JD move on to another link from the same host (if you have one)? JD then would normally go back to the stuck link after completing the other link from the host (if it is over 10 minutes). If you have no other links from that host and you right click on the link that is stuck and click on Resume, does that allow the download to continue? If not, if you right click on the link and click on Reset, does that allow the download to continue? Last edited by drbits; 24.12.2009 at 01:35. Reason: Share-online.biz info. |

Please, allow java.exe and javaw.exe in your firewall. You can try Open DNS (hXXp://www.opendns.com/). If it's a share-online.biz issue, you can only wait for them to solve it. |

It's only that file that doesn't work... other Share-Online files (and all other 80+ files out of that package) work just fine (as a matter of fact, the next download from share-online is almost done). That means it can't be a download limit, or a connection problem... I've already posted the part of the log that I deemed relevant, if any others are needed, I'd be happy to post those specific parts. Links to possibly copyright-infringing content, however anonymous this internet forum happens to be, however, are out of the question ![]() Quote:
The error in the log is what's interesting to me, but I'm too much of a JDownloader n00b to decipher it ![]() |

OS: Windows 7 Pro 64bit Java Version: Version 6 Aktualisierung 17 (Build 1.6.0_17-b04) JDownloader Version: xmax Version 0.9.579 Last edited by evilscytheman; 26.12.2009 at 00:10. |

Here are instructions for logging :-
1) Set logging level to ALL in Settings -> Basics -> General -> Logging and restart jD 2) Perform the actions that lead to the problem. 3) You'll find the log tab in ? -> Show log. * 4) Click Upload log and post the pastebin-URL of the log in your thread. 5) Set logging level back to NONE * : ? is the last menu item in the menu bar; the log tab will be displayed next to the Linkgrabber tab Note that only official jD Team members and supporters can read your pastebin log. For more detailed instructions, please read "How to create a log" in the wiki. The latest manual can be found in the support centre :- "How do I create a log?" The developers probably need a detailed log. I gave the instructions for logging in jD.

Won't be doing that
![]() Guess I'll just stay away from share-online.biz from now on. Not a big loss... Thanks for the attempts at helping though - I know I made it a little difficult ![]() |

I don't mind. I also don't like giving logs. Though, it helps the devs to find bugs.
The more difficult the issue, the more challenging... ![]() |

I wind up submitting logs 2 or 3 times a week, so I created a script to help.
The script captures the verbose Java logging (which includes the JD log information). The one requirement is that you need a rar program (comes with WinRar and some others). Of course, directories may need changing. It names the logs after the version of JD and the date and time. If you save jdlog.txt from the Log tab, it will incorporate that tool The line to start JD is long, because it uses environment variables. Make sure your editor is not wrapping the lines. It then makes a RAR archive for the version and date containing all of these files (and deletes the files). I can attach the logs to PM or forum message that way. I am attaching the script in a RAR file for you to look at. I don't like uploading bare scripts or EXEs. Last edited by drbits; 09.01.2010 at 07:29. |
