Default Problem with lost d/l links. Will pay for solution.

Hi,

I am running the latest build of JD2 on a OS X. I had a couple thousand links set to download. One of the links was a "file not found" and I think that when I deleted it I also somehow deleted about a thousand files above it. Normally it gives me an "Are your sure?" type modal, but it didn't do that this time. I have no other idea about how the files might have disappeared...although I guess something else may have happened.

I searched the forum for "recover" and found people with the same issue in the past, but I haven't found a solution that I both understand and that works to recover the deleted files. I just started using JD recently and am not familiar enough with it to be efficient. I tried looking at a logfile and was unsuccessful...it said it was ready to be sent to a supporter...?

I really need to recover the links if possible and I will happily Paypal $25 to the first person that can provide a solution that does so. I'm a moron with this, so I may need baby-steps

I can find downloadlistsXXX.zip and a shitload of json files but I'm not sure what to do with anything...not even sure recovery is possible.

Help?

Cheers,

Owesea

If downloadlistsXXX.zip is small because you have restarted JD several times then it's gone.
If any of downloadlistsXXX.zip is not small, save it first in another folder, then delete the newer but smaller .zip.

If you keep the links in linkgrabber, find linkcollectorxxx.zip and do the same.

I haven't restarted or updated JD at all since this happened. It has been running continuously.

When it first happened, there were 5 of the downloadlistXXXX files at 119kb apiece. I just noticed they are periodically updating to more recent time periods (6pm, then 7pm, now 11pm), each time there are five of them at 119kb apiece...?

So I'm screwed, or is there a logfile that tracks this stuff anywhere...?

There are also linkcollectorXXX.zip files from right around the time the files disappeared...?

Oh, one linkcollectorXXX.zip was 200kb, all the others are under 80kb.

backup this file, close JDownloader
rename the biggest zip file to have the highest XXX number
JDownloader will load the lists according their number (high -> low)

Didn't work, but thanks for the help.

(It only re-loaded much newer files that I had not lost, so I assume the deleted files are truly lost.)

Anyway, I appreciate the efforts...
