Kaspersky: false-positive warning
Greetings to the community!
I have more than two years using the Jdownload in its Java version since it allows me portability between Windows and Linux systems, however 4 days ago my antivirus (Kaspersky Lab) has detected the PDM: Trojan.Win32.Generic in jdownload.jar when executing it under Windows 7 Does anyone else have this problem? NOTE: Virus detection only happens with the Jdownload **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** Last edited by HadesRD; 11.06.2019 at 03:27. |

Installers can provider optional adware (exe) but this is not provided by any other means.
JDownloader.jar is harmless, there is no trojan, false positive. raztoki

Looks like false positive as JDownloader.jar is a java executable and Win32.Generic sounds like either caused by code sign certificate of the launcher or JDownloader behaviour (downloading, crawling..) triggered some protection stuff.
In doubt you can check your installation: -close JDownloader -delete the files JDownloader.jar, Core.jar and the folders update and tmp -download mega.nz/#!6FtSTAaa!iCcVpHl4hePgpj2q7EdcqGofDQKAt7rohGybzRCogv0 and place in the folder -on next start it will download all files that belong to JDownloader again -Note: settings/links/accounts are not touched/changed/lost by this -Note: this does not alter the launchers (.exe files) but in case those are infected, then the code sign certificate won't be valid anymore

In doubt I would recommend to uninstall Kaspersky, reboot system and install again
