has to be a JD2 problem (Or api link). Loading without problems in browser but can't load a file without reset at 10 - 70MB in JD2

I don't use JD, and wasn't even aware of the speed glitch. I normally use the browser as a free user and encountered the same problems users were facing. slow speed and downloads would stop/fail and resume at 0. When I searched google, I came across this thread. What were people thinking glitching the site into faster speed for free (hurr durr they won't find out) Dummies always take advantage of a good host and turns it into shit. Seems like they ruined it for everyone.

I should have took a screenshot didn't think anything of it at the time, I got this message yesterday via browser, "The limit of 3000 files per day is exceeded. Try to continue tomorrow. Upgrade to PREMIUM and forget about limits."

No, I didn't download that many files, but my assumption is that they're only allowing 3k files per day for free users? I'll see if it happens again.
SO I tried again next day, same thing dl fails.
I tried to download something else with a referrer link.
My download was 150 kbs and finished.
I then tried to download a file without a referrer link and the download always fails. No sure if it helps just fyi.

Sucks they're shitting on free users, but free users shouldn't have took advantage with the speed glitch.

Another thing I noticed the page they have for resellers isn't there anymore. I was going to get premium via reseller but they don't list their authorized resellers on their website anymore. Wonder what more changes are coming.

You won't find any moral action in such a business

Also, the "speed glitch" which worked in JDownloader has never been our intention.
As already said multiple times, we did not even know about that.

I'am currently testing free download though I cannot test large files which need like 20+ hours in free mode until completion.

Also, please post logs so we can see what actually causes the disconnect!

-psp-
EDIT

My speed/disconnect test results and overview of what has happened:

Regarding bad downloadspeeds and no resume:
It seems like there has been a bug in the k2s system serverside which lead to very high free user downloadspeed (for JDownloader users).
We never had any influence on that, in fact we did not even know about this.
K2s has now fixed this bug!
They have also disabled the ability to resule stopped downloads for free & free account users.

Current normal free speeds are: 30-50 KB/s
Current supposed free account download speeds are: 100 KB/s

Regarding download speed and disconnects - here an overview opf my tests:
JD:
Without special Referer: Disconnects
With special Referer: No issues
If you want to have such a Referer, please do not ask our staff - ask other users!

Browser:
Without special Referer: No issues
With special Referer: NotTested

I've even tested generated API directurl via browser and it also had the disconnect issues which means this should happen in any tool using their API.
Question is, is it a bug or do they do this on purpose?
On purpose kinda makes no sense as they're still wasting traffic this way so it could still simply be a bug ...

EDIT3

For now, you should use a custom Referer as a workaround!

I have created a ticket for this issue although chances are that it is a k2s bug!

I also tested a bit.

As one of these special refs I used p*********.org

Browser: with special ref: download with 50kb/s, stops after 23,2MB
Browser: without special ref: download with 50kb/s, stops after 21,5MB

JD2: with special ref: download with 150kb/s for around 10% of file, after that ~90kb/s (in a range from 70kb/s - 110kb/s), download complete
JD2: without special ref: speed around 30kb/s, stops after 22,8MB

All stopped downloads are not resumable.

Hmm been able to run free downloads via JDownloader just fine here in the US without these special referals I think and they have been doing so at 50kbps FAR from the speeds I use to get tho which is annoying

@Topken
Please reads me post:
https://board.jdownloader.org/showpo...6&postcount=63

Short answer:
This is NOT a JDownloader issue but there IS a workaround (see linked post)!

-psp-
EDIT

@truelife
This are kind of the same results I had except that I was not able to reproduce the disconnects via browser but if you were able to do so this is even better.
k2s has to fix this - we cannot fix their mistakes

What do you mean?
The possible workaround?

Did you setup one of the special Referers?
Which one did you use?

Again:
This is NOT a JDownloader issue - please contact the k2s support and ask them to fix this!

@psp as I said ZERO disconnects here when using JDownloader AKA no problem downloading 400meg files.

As for the speeds yeah I got that part but my previous post was more so about the 0 discconets while using JDownloader and NO special referral links to download from k2s

@Topken

Sorry, I mixed my answer with the one for another user.

But even so - as stated above the lower speeds + disabled resume was done by k2s on purpose - there is nothing we can do about this

Chiming in to say that I'm also struggling with this, and if anybody is kind enough to PM a referrer, would be very very appreciated.

Big big thank-you to my benefactor. I followed exactly the instructions here with the referrer url and I'm now getting 150 down. Haven't tested enough to be sure that it won't cut out, but hopefully will be fine.

Update: uhoh, it restarted after an hour... and I don't believe my internet cut out. So, definitely no capability to resume downloads, and very possibly still the (bug?) that's cutting out the download. Still keeping at 150, though. Hopefully it'll complete this time.

Update 2: I can confirm that even when using the referrer pla*******.o**, I'm still getting constant disconnects. At this point it's more effort than it's worth trying to use k2s.

I'm not facing the problem anymore (without any referer link) the last two days... I think this is fixed on ks side

1st post.

While waiting for approval to post my problem, which is this k2s problem, the problem seems to be resolved.
In my case, for weeks, speed is limited under around 30kb/s, disconnected around 10-12MB without resume, no successful completion for free user.
A couple days ago, suddenly JD for k2s began to work, around 150kb/s, no disconnect, complete download without setting 'custom referer'.
During the time, I saw no update of JD, so it's k2s side who played.

I am not sure... because with or without setting it, I get 30 or 150 kb/s speed.
With it set, I still get 30 kb/s and without it, I sometimes get 150 kb/s, depending on... what I am really not aware of.

I'll change the topic prefix to solve.

Please note that this was never a JD issue so there really is no solved/unsolved from us regarding this topic
