using power of deduction
either your using free mode and click the button in the prompted dialog or you are clicking the banner on the top right or you are clicking the buy button in the account manager. those would be the only way a browser window would open, JD doesn't auto open it as far as the code I've seen. so I was thinking maybe when you login the RDC or another program running in background trigger click events? or some how triggers it?? since you're the only one ever reported such an issue its very isolated and must have something todo with your setup in my mind. raztoki

Not surprising since there are probably fewer people who use jdownloader remotely. I use it remotely on two different machines, the one we're talking about, and an htpc. The htpc has never had this issue; however, with the machine in question, it just started happening one day after a jdownloader update and hasn't stopped since. No changes were made to the machine. I'll search my post history, because I'm sure I came here right after it started and asked.
You just have to believe me that I am not/was not clicking the banner, nor is anything else on the install randomly clicking the banner. The only thing that runs/ran in the background are mirc (no longer) and discord (now). The install has survived for ~ 4 or 5 years (it's been a long time) without a reinstall. On a side note, I haven't seen a popup since I disabled the banner! Which is really nice. **edit** Here's our old convo: https://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=62723 I'm not sure if we ever managed to do that teamviewer thing? I'm settled in Seattle now so if I see it pop up again I will surely take you up on the offer if it still stands? Again, thanks a ton for your time and patience. We actually have quite a large component using JDownloader remotely these days. I wouldn't be able to quantify numbers and percentages. Just what I've seen via support threads/tickets. Since JDownloader can run in headless environments, its quite popular on NAS systems.
Still you're the only one suffering said issue. so I'm still leaning to something related to your setup. Removing the banner just removes the ability for it to open, but something 'must' click on that location in order to open browser event. I wouldn't have said it been mirc or discord. maybe that is good enough to called 'solved' unless you have the time to run Teamviewer with Jiaz raztoki

I'll have time in ~ a half hour. I would love to actually solve this. If something is clicking (i'm skeptical) then let's find out.

Contact me at support@jdownloader.org so we can schedule a Teamviewer session.
Indeed would be nice to find out the cause of this.
