JD2 should remembered the path. Make sure the value of the advanced setting FFmpegSetup: Binary Path is saved.

Check in settings → advanced settings → FFmpegSetup: Binary Path (search it)
In the column value, make sure that JD2 has the path where you have ffmpeg, and check if such path is remembered.

JD uses this command to merge the streams:

Either you install one of the static FFMpeg builds, or you check out the correct parameters for your ffmpeg version. you can modify the ffmpeg commandline in the advanced options

Ive downloaded the latest build as of Jan 14/2014.....I've updated to the latest static ffmpeg build, given the proper merge location etc......

And I am STILL getting "error has occurred, plugin outdated" on any and youtube videos,

plus whenever i goto grab a utube vid it only grabs 720p at best even if I have it set to grab everything.

Should be remembered by JD2. If not, check if you have enough permissions in the path where you have installed JD2, the same for ffmpeg.

This is really getting annoying, I have ffmpeg installed perfectly, version check confirmed. and Im still getting "error had occurred plugin....." is it just a JD2 thing now?

I am not sure if it happens only with some concrete videos or it's general.

I already downloaded ffmpeg some versions ago and it worked fine when needed for downloading youtube videos.

Now it's giving some trouble: I select location and it asks for it some minutes later again. when the Youtube download starts an ffmpeg process launches but dies on the next second, then JD asks me again for location.

It happened, for example, with this video: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** (1080p mp4).

don't know if you've solved this already but... for stubborn youtube vids, I download it directly in Safari. Use the Clicktoflash extension that allows you to DL the flash videos that it can convert to HTML5.

yea i found it was hidden but its in this path ... is it okay or shall i move it to program files

Thxs but im looking for a solution through JD2 plus i dont use safari (no mac).....this is a programers issue obviously JD2 team needs to find a way around the new yoytube VIvo vids.

What happens again with Youtube?

I have this list of undownloadable youtube videos from 1 month ago, most of them ARE NOT VEVO videos.
Any of the JD2 updates in 3 weeks has fixed this, what happens?

All the videos on my list are 720p and 1080p



Most of the Youtube links can't be downloaded in JD, the issue is not only with Vevo videos.

I'm having trouble using JDownloader 2 to download videos that are "age restricted". When I use the linkgrabber, it comes up, but says the video is "offline" (when it is clearly not... since it's there). Regular videos work fine.

My JD2 updates automatically so I believe it should have the feature, unless I'm missing something. Thanks in advance for the help.
