Default Elevated privileges for JDownloader in Ubuntu

Hi,
I am using Ubuntu 20.04LTS and JDownloader2 rev. 45186.
The system does not allow me to save my downloaded files in the folder "/mnt/data/Jdownloader" where "data" is an automatic mountpoint of the second partition of my HDD. I know that the directory is protected and I need admin privileges to save or write in this directory.
Question: how do I run JDownloader as an admin? Is there any other way to save the files directly on the other partition without using space on my system drive?
Thanks.

@mismichael:
you should NOT run JDownloader as admin/root if not required. How have you installed JDownloader? I'm asking because flatpack/snap packages are limited to download folder only and you have to either modifiy the package settings or use the bundle installer from our website.
