Default MEGA 5GB Limit

I have been trying to download this file that is bigger than 5GB. It won't even do a partial download and continue where it left off when the limit resets.

Default MEGA and the 5 GB limit

In the past I've not been able to download MEGA files larger than 5 GB with JD2. I didn't try to for a long time, but then on January 1st, 2021, I tried and succeeded to download this file, 6.5 GB, with JD2:

**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

But now I'm not able to again. I immediately get the error about "bandwidth limit", and a 30-minute wait timer, even if I haven't downloaded anything else that day. So I'm curious about what happened... did something change in JD2, then change again? Or maybe something changed at MEGA?

Also, I read in another post that someone said you need a free MEGA account to download a file bigger than 5 GB, but it's not true. If you go to this URL for example:

**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

Using a browser (I tried Vivaldi), you can just click and download it. It will download the whole thing without even needing to change IP, even though it's 5.02 GB. But JD2 won't even start it. It would be nice if it worked!

Hi,

dunno if this information is useful but i had to download a file with 15GB and because of the 509 Bandwidth Limit Exceeded and atm not working Jdownloader2 mega plugin problem i use a older Firefox browser and the MEGA 3.15.13 Firefox plugin (31.12.2017) and that still works. Of course i need to pause and resume the download. Maybe this info helps to fix the Mega plugin in Jdownloader2.

greetings
