Default Updates

When an update is available (and that's frequent), the globe icon blinks and one must manually start update and confirm.

I suggest updates to be automatically downloaded and then a windows would ask whether to apply them at once or later.

You can disable the blinking via Settings-Advanced Settings-GraphicalUserInterfaceSettings.updatebuttonflashingenabled

By default JDownloader will silently download/install plugin updates and no restart is required. only for core updates a restart is required.
As far as I remember, there is an eventscripter script that auto install/restart on idle, see
