Unhappy JD blocking all other internet than for itself

Hi Guys,

And firstly thanks for this awesome software and you amazing dedication and genius around it !!

I have an issue with my JD at the moment. As soon as I start JD none of my three networked computers (connected wirelessly on a Netgear DGN2000 and Netgear wireless max n series for the connection key) can't connect to the internet.

My connection is an 8meg and even when I limit JD to 700kb/s leaving logically 300 left for internet use, any other program that tries to use internet is blocked.

Does that sound familiar ? Can you help me ?

Thanks in advance !

Stef

this sounds like known issues with firewall/av.
eg kaspersky can cause this
what firewall/av do you use?

Thanks for your quick reply !

I use AVG Internet Security 2011 full version. I have tried to fiddle with its firewall settings but I am not good enought to go anywhere with this.

I know my router also does firewall if that can help

make sure java.exe and javaw.exe is on exclude list.

I have just deactivated my linkscanner and added jd, java and javaw on the exclude list but it still does not seem to work.

I have tried to do it directly also in my netgear firewall but I do not get how that worls at all !!

Can you eventually guide me on this roughly ?

Thanks in advance
