@elguaxo: Thanks for Teamviewer! It looks like System/Kernel issues as a simple opening of JarFile also files (outside of JDownloader), tested with different java version.
see bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=275421 stackoverflow.com/questions/71757009/strange-java-behaviour-with-zip-files-including-jars I think it might have to do with zlib (dynamic library dependency of java). maybe arch updated to incompatible version @elguaxo: can you check what zlib version you have installed in system? I think this is regression from zlib 1.2.12. other major distros just backported the fixes while arch might just have jumped to 1.2.12 ? Okay, most likely it's caused by this missing change in upstream java, github.com/madler/zlib/issues/426

My latest zlib upgrade was from 1.2.11-5 to 1.2.12-1. And it seems that I got the JDownloader update errors right after that. So I just downgraded zlib back to 1.2.11-5 and the problem was solved!
Thanks a lot @Jiaz for your help. |

@elguaxo: Thanks for the feedback. I just updated my issue on github and also reported to zlib by mail.

I don't believe that Appwork maintains flatpak installer, must be a community driven effort.
putting that aside, it seems to just execute a bash script installer, probably ours. what java does your system have out of interest? java -version

java -version output
I tried the bash script version downloaded from the official site and it has the same problem.
