In my tests everything seemed to be fine though the file I tried to download was unavailable due to the CDN being down resulting in error "Server error 404" in JD.

Please restart your JDownloader, trigger the problem 1-2 times and provide a fresh log.

Your JDownloader is running out of memory:

java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space

Edit your .vmoptions file to allow JDownloader to use more RAM.

The downloaded files always only have 60B with the following string.

This happens because they're sending two Content-Type header values at the same time:

video/mp4

and:

text/html; charset=utf-8

I've added detection for this.

sadly now a new Error "Final downloadlink did not lead to downloadable content"

The new error is fine since the URL is not downloadable to the error which you've described in your post #7.
You need to contact the kenfiles.com support and ask them to fix this.

thanks for the quick reply
what do I need to ask them exactly? this happens to all files I tested with JD
but I can download them all manually, wouldn't that indicate that the error
lies with link resolving in JD? please educate me

Well from what I can see it will fail via browser too.

If it works via browser but fails in JD:
Please send me your kenfiles.com login credentials via PN so I can check this.

Thanks for providing access to your premium account.

I've looked into this: JDownloader does successfully "Click" that green "Create download link" button but the links JDownloader is getting do not work.
I haven't been able to figure out why so either some form value is wrong or kenfiles.com is blocking JDownloader [in premium mode] for unknown reasons.
I've contacted the kenfiles.com support to obtain further information.

I've reported two more website-bugs to the kenfiles.com support:
1. Broken setting:
kenfiles.com/account -> Settings -> 'Direct downloads(Premium only)' has no effect

2. Broken download-API:
Their API does work for checking accounts and files but the download does not work.

So the cause of the problem is somewhere in the middle: For some reason, while our plugin is able to login, two crucial cookies are missing.

However, there is a possible workaround:
1. Delete your kenfiles.com account in JDownloader.
2. Re-add your account via cookie login method.
It should work now.
Important:
Once your IP chances, your premium downloads will start to fail again and you will need to re-import your login-cookies!
