[NOT a JD bug] JDownloader2 does not open download directory.
JDownloader2 does not open download directory when prompted. I tested this on Artix Linux. It used to work. I neither did not change download directory nor installed any plugins.

JDownloader2 does not open a download directory.
I have been using the JD2 for a long time and for a some reason on Linux Artix 6.2.6 clicking on a "open download directory" option stopped working. There is no action from a program after clicking on this option in a drop down menu.

Please contact us again via support@jdownloader.org so we can look into this during a Teamviewer live session.

There is additional problem in my case, prompt open file does not work either.
I tested it on fresh install and it seem there is no problem with JD but with my system. On fresh install Dolphin, gwenview and other program have no problem opening files or folders but on my system for some reason there is problem with some apps. On my current system when I change Dolphin to Nemo or Double Commander JD opens folder. It also opens .mp4 file (vlc) but for example gwenview does not work but any other program opens .jpg files. I installed dolphin through flathub and there is no longer issue but still some file extensions does not work. I.e KWrite does not open .txt files when JD is prompted to do so. So it seems there is no issue with JD. Do you still want to have Teamviewer session? |

@Jarwler: Teamviewer no longer needed as the issue clearly is connected with your setup. Maybe you can try to reset file->app association? maybe delete (backup first) the configuration folder of your window manager/desktop and check if that helps?
Maybe also try with fresh user on the system and check if same issue happens? that way you can enclose if issue is with your user profile/settings or os installation Last edited by notice; 26.03.2023 at 19:12. |
