Download links from photobucket.com without watermark
So i have a few hundreds of links to photobucket images... 855 to be precise
I put them all in jDownloader 2 and it is downloading them fine. Download wouldnt start at first because i had http links but changing it to https sorted it. Now my problem is that it downloads the pictures with a watermark. They have some protection on image hotlinking and downloading through jdownloader which adds the watermark, but if you open the image in your browser is watermarkless. Is there a way to download the original image without the watermark? Maybe changing the jDownloader user agent...? Thanks in advance ! |

Fixed.

I was unable to reproduce that. Please provide example URLs so I can look into this one as well. Please re-read the Update-FAQ I linked in my last reply.

I tried to download again with jdownloader updated two days ago but its till adds the watermark :(
Just use any photobucket image link with http instead of https... Here are some example links (with https) Code:
**External links are only visible to Support Staff** **External links are only visible to Support Staff** **External links are only visible to Support Staff** **External links are only visible to Support Staff** **External links are only visible to Support Staff** **External links are only visible to Support Staff** |

Please stop pushing.
JDownloader is a free open source software with free support and the people behind it are also sometimes sick or on vacation... About the problem: The problem is happening because you are adding direct-URLs which effectively is skipping JDownloaders' plugin handling. Now the question is, why are you adding those and where did you find them? Also, again: The problem is not(!) the protocol (http/https)! Just as an example, if you add plugin-supported links, the images will be downloaded without watermark. Random example: hosting.photobucket.com/albums/hh79/o1racing03/Creative%20Candy%20Album%20II/Creative%20Candy%203/photo-198.jpg

I am aware its free and open source, and i thank you for your assistance. I was a bit frustrated that you said it works and it didnt and i couldnt figure out why.
The urls are from my own forum and were linked in [ img ] tags by one of my admins from his photobucket account, but he doesnt have access to it anymore. I just exported the links from the database. With the protocol the only problem was that it wouldnt download under the old link with http but i fixed it by changing to https. I dont understand what you mean by direct links. Isnt your example url also a direct link with a jpg extension ? Only difference i see is that you use the "hosting" subdomain instead of "i233". But i get the same result with: Code:
**External links are only visible to Support Staff** Code:
**External links are only visible to Support Staff** |

I did fix the same issue which happened in two different places but with your links, it persisted. Quote:

At this moment I'm unable to find any of the "correct" or "old" links. Here is the regular expression our photobucket.com plugin listens to to process links: Code:
<protocol>://(?:(?:next|app)\\.)?<photobucketDomains>/u/([^/]+)/a/([a-f0-9\\-]+)/p/([a-f0-9\\-]+) At this moment it will listen to links matching the following regular expression: Code:
<protocol>://://(?:i\\d+|hosting)\\.photobucket\\.com/albums/\\w+/\\w+/[^/]+\\.jpg Do the following to test my changes: 1. Delete all previously added photobucket.com direct-URLs. My change will only help with newly added items! 2. Wait for the update and install it (see update FAQ linked down below). 3. Re-add some of the links you posted in this thread for testing. Inside the "Hoster" column in the linkgrabber they should now be listed as "directimages.photobucket.com". 4. Download them and check if there is a watermark. The extension can be jpg, png, gif, and recently i noticed PB treats jpg images like .webp files. Probably thats what they are now saved internally also, but they still accept the jpg extension. If you open a jpg direct link in a new tab, it will save it as webp. HOOLY POTATO ! It worked ! jpg files download fine without watermark, but .png seems to still have watermarks These are all links im trying to download: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** |

Thanks for your detailed feedback.

Re-read my last post carefully and you might be able to understand why only .jpg files were working. Either way, I've updated the plugin once again so with the next update all file-extensions you mentioned in your last post are supported (again: works only for links with != jpg file-extensions added after the update!). I managed to download all images. Now that i have them backed up, i may at some point replace the photobucket path to link to the same images storred internally. Thank you very much for your support and that you are maintaining this awesome program! By the way, ive noticed a little spelling mistake in this dialog box. Instead of "Are you sure" its "Ary ou sure" |

Thanks for your nice feedback!
Regarding the spelling mistake in translation: Thanks - I've fixed that one! The next major update of JDownloader will contain my change.
