After the last update in Windows 10 22H2 the system tray icon is broken. Unable to right click on it or open it from clicking on it. It just flashes and fails to open. I have to launch JDownloader2 again to get it to open.

The window just does not want to open up at all. It is a broken system tray icon that is the problem.

All updates this week solely contained plugin changes.

Well what I did 2 days ago.. I reinstalled the entire application and it was opening up properly from the tray icon. It has since did an update and now it won't open up again it just flashes in system tray. I have to go to the start menu and run it again to get it to open up.

I have two subscriptions Mega and Pixeldrain

1. Enabled Debug
2. Restarted JDownloader
3. Hit X to close to system tray
4. Clicked on system tray to get a few flashing but no window opened
5. Run JDownloader2 again so it would open Window
6. Exported the log with Create Log

Can you try going to Settings -> "Tray Icon" (icon on the left) and disable the option "Hide Tray if Window is visible"? See if that fixes your problem.

Disabling that setting seems to have worked for me.

Possible workarounds:

1. Disable this Tray Icon setting: "Hide Tray if Window is visible"
2. or: Do not use the Tray Icon

Yes unchecking that fixed the issue so problem seems to be with that setting. I will keep it unchecked for now until the change log shows a fix for the issue.

I agree. I have the sample problem on Win 10 since a couple of weeks. Some tests I tried give me that:

• First time you use it there is no problems (right click on tray icon and the menu is opened). Then, when you start using the soft and minimize (with the -), you cant never user again. And for open the main windows, you need to click several times.
• Software keeps working generally speaking (downloading, etc.).
• Updates in this time didnt fix anything. I have the last version.

I suppose its something about "fighting windows" between system and the app, but I don´t know what. I searched for options and I couldnt find anything extrange.
Note: "Hide Tray if Window is visible"? fix the problem but live the menu opened.
