Yes. Same here. My CPU of AMD Ryzen 5 3600X ran and kept running at 100%, plus the download speed max out at 30M/s (previously it can go up to 100M/s). The host I am using is Uploaded.to. Trying to test, I downloaded using host Rapidgator. No problem (CPU utilization rate around 40%) and speeds were normal around 80M/s.

same here.

windows 10 machine. 100% cpu usage and the download can't exceed 5 megabytes per second.

it's not my connection because IDM downloads the same file fine at full speed.

Yes, apparently it's only uploaded. With DDL.to I don't have that problem.

i have this too

i've used JD2 for about 4-5 years and never really any problems. About 6 months ago i was suddenly unable to download from Rapidgator thru JD2 and even thru browsers without any add-ons from this computer. Didnt bother me too much but a few days ago i decided to look into it and try to fix it. Saw some solutions mentioned as to go into the Settings>Plugins section and in the Rapidgator section to click on "Experimental Forced SSL" and in addition i added a Planet Suzy custom referral link. I was then able to download at least 1-2 files from Rapidgator but now i have constant 50-75% CPU usage by JDownloader. I am using the portable version of JD2 fwiw.

also Rapidgator downloads stopped working again

reverting the Rapidgator plugin settings hasn't helped reduce the CPU % and its high whether or not i download from any particular site afaict

This is relation to this issue ticket

Jiaz released a update on friday? to help with SSL connections in which client (JD) can specify priority ciphers. But with uploaded.to this didn't work. He released a short time ago, it should rectify.

If you have logs from sessions that failed, he would be interested in having access, so if your willing please upload logs https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...rticle/View/47

fyi There is only a single version of JD, only difference is with installers is, provided Java and loaders (windows exe / mac app).

Merged SSL threads.

Please check if this only happens with https downloads.
Please post a log and add detailed information about your system.

-psp-
EDIT

AES GCM eats up a lot of CPU if you re running an old Java version.
Especially when you re using multiple connection per download.
Please try using a newer Java version.
You can also try this advanced setting:
Settings --> Advanced Settings --> Search for "prefer bouncy castle for tls" --> Enable --> Restart JD and try again.
EDIT2

Please post a log and let us know how many connections and simultaneous downloads you set.

Default 00% CPU Usage when Downloading

Hello

I have got the same problem, since good 2-3 weeks when I start downloading the CPU Usage goes up to 100%. I did uninstall the program and installed it again, ho change.

I am not good with technical things but maybe someone could guide me through a process of fixing this issue

Thanks

Please read our posts.
Your issue has not been caused by updates on our side.

It is caused by website owners changing to other SSL ciphers
See also forum search --> "SSL ciphers".

Yes, please let us do a teamviewer session so we can check if this is caused by HTTPS GCM Cipher or something else

@DunDee: Caused by old Java Version in combination with huge performance issues for AES GCM Cipher in older versions. Solution: Try newer Java8 or Java11 from adoptopenjdk.net
We can check/work on this via Teamviewer next week and test different java version together. contact me via support@jdownloader.org

Hi,

we will soon provide updated installer with more recent jre version.
Your issue is caused by aes-gcm old java performance issue.
