Hi,

I am getting the same 'Invalid account' error on my Hotfile premium account, I did a bit of testing on it to see when it happens.

1. I enable the Hotfile premium and it is enabled right now.
2. I download two files together and it works.
3. I add 7 more files to download, I have setup JDownloader to start 4 links simultaneously, so it starts the first 4 links together.
4. One among the 4 files is now downloaded and it tries to download the 5th file and this is when the download of the 5th file fails, it sets the account invalid.

It seems when Hotfile is already downloading (in above case, 3 were still downloading in the background), Hotfile is not allowing me to start a new download. This seems to be new problem that surfaced only 2 days back. Not sure if Hotfile has introduced some new check for this.

After it set the account to invalid in Jdownloader, I tried logging into Hotfile from my browser and it said the following, 'Too many failed attempts to login from this IP address. Try again in 10 minutes.' Dont know if this is happening because of Hotfile or JDownloader, coz I don't remember trying to login even once before using the browser.

If I try to change my IP address by rebooting my Router, then it works for a while and then again if I am downloading more than 4 file, the problem is seen...

Is JDownloader not suppose to have cookie or something?

Some additional info from Hotfile.com:

If there are multiple attempts to login with different user/pass from your IP address our anti-cheat system will block your access for 10 minutes. If these attempts continue your IP could be blocked permanently.

If you are not doing these multiple login attempts please check your computer for viruses and STOP using unauthorized 3rd parties sites for downloading!
All those sites (offering Hotfile downloads) could steal your account information and your account could be blacklisted for account sharing violation.

Seems Hotfile has introduced some extra check for the scenarios like one above.

I don't see any errors in your log. Did you log the error as well?

If you're using the reconnect feature, then disable it.

You're using the JRE 1.6.0_20-b02. JRE version 1.6.0_17 32 bits ("**External links are only visible to Support Staff**) is the last version that's compatible with jD. Remove more recent versions.

I just discovered one more thing, this problem is seen when I try to use Hotfile premium account after I have used my RS premium account or if I try to use the use both together...

I am attaching one more log file just to give U an idea what error it throws when it disables my hotfile premium account.

This sure is a problem and has surfaced after the changes done by Hotfile on 15-05-2010.

Please look into this now and the links are immaterial in this case, still if U want some links, try these...

My account is very much active till next month and I have a monthly subscription like all hotfile accounts.

The thing is U wont be able to test it without premium accounts of Hotfile & RS... so I dont see much point going ahead with this...

The only workaround for me for this problem is to use hotfile before I use my RS account... I am starting to hate hotfile already for their extra checks...

hope you are able to replicate the error at your end w/o my help.

Abt log file, I clipped only the lines those were seen after the invalid account error came up, dont know how the remainder of the log which does not have any error going to help you...

I'm trying to download from my seedbox (in france) from Hotfile but I can't. It gives me this error:

I've tried the first link and it works fine. No problem with hotfile except reCaptcha.

The problem is at your end.

To those who have problems with hotfile :-

1) Allow java and javaw in your firewall and virus software. Disable (or un-install) the port 80/html/web scanner in your virus software.

2) Reduce the Max.Con. setting (bottom right corner of jD window) to 1.

3) JRE version 1.6.0_17 32 bits ("**External links are only visible to Support Staff**) is the last version that's compatible with jD. Remove more recent versions.

have disabled firewall, set max connections and max downloads to 1 and have latest java version

Then wait for further instructions from a developer.

I am also receiving this "invalid account" message within JDownloader and have contacted Hotfile, which says, JDownloader is aware of this problem.

Is this correct?

I've been having the same problem as the OP for two weeks or so.

I have a Hotfile Premium account valid until 19/06/2010.

When this error occurs, the premium account settings in JD show that my account is invalid. Refreshing the account makes it valid again, and then I have to enable premium for this hoster again.

I have the same error when logging in from the PC soon after the error occurs (Too many login attempts...).

Edit: I have rolled back to Java RE 6v17 (before the weekend) and the problem still occurs. I'm guessing it's not related to Java.

Edit: Max Connections is set to 1; Let Reconnects interrupt resumeable downloads is ticked; Do not start new links if reconnect requested is ticked.

I've kept logging enabled for when it happens again so that I can post more info if needed.

Premium links download perfectly in Google Chrome using the same login details as in JD - on the same PC.

@decoder: Considering I haven't contributed to the development of JD (yet), I appreciate any and all efforts by the development team at resolving the various issues. Hopefully they are looking into this, but I'm sure they have a lot on their plate with the way that hosters change their rules on a daily basis. I have not had a single issue with Hotfile before when using JD. I'm pretty sure Hotfile have changed something with their premium check routine.

Please check your login passwords for spaces, spaces can cause problems!!

I've started JD with the -brdebug parameter, logfile shows this:

The error happened again. I really struggled to upload my log (6.5MB with brdebug enabled!) using the JDownloader pastebin, so I used pastebin.com instead.
