Question JD2 Various Files Q

Hi Jiaz & JD2 team,

First of all I am glad Jiaz twisted my arm into using JD2 and forget about JD1. Now that I am kind of Familiar with JD2, I really like it ... and JD2 is improving a lot.

When I choose a file from LinkGrabber to send to Downloads Pane ... all of them they go under "Various Files" folder ... each separately of course ... then the Actual File Name shows up.

Q1: Is this by design to operate this way? Not a big deal, but would it be nicer just have the file, instead file within Folder!

Thanks,

G!

Hi
Because a lot of users use JD with multipart-archives, by default only packages with them get "nice" packagenames.
Files which are considered to be single files go in one- or multiple "various" packages.
Of course you can customize this behavior:
Settings --> Advanced Settings -->
To completely turn that off, disable:
LinkgrabberSettings: Various Package
...and if you simply want to customize the number of files needed to create the various package:
LinkgrabberSettings: Various Package Limit

Thumbs up

Hi PSP,

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Appreciate it ... but I leave the Advanced Settings for Experts like you guys. Don't want to break anything.

This is the only way to change that behavior
Simply turn this off:
LinkgrabberSettings: Various Package
You won't break anything
