very, very bad downloadrate
Hi all,
I'm pretty sure this isn't actually a problem with jdownloader (Torrents have it as well...), but I was hoping that maybe you guys would have tips anyway... I recently re-installed windows 10, and now my download-rate is absolute thrash. It fluctuates between 0 and 64 kb/s in rapid succession, so the little green indicator in the top right looks like this: _-_-_-_- The rest of the internet seems to be ok, websites load fine, youtube in 1080HD loads fine, speedtest-websites tell me I have 100mbps - but JDownloader and torrents... Any ideas what could be causing this? |

1.) Check firewall/av tools/settings
2.) Check priority (Taskmanager) of those tools. As far as I remember there is sort of gamer profile in windows that gives higher priority to current active application and slower priority to other (energy saving) 3.) try to increase priority of application

Nope, that's not it- JD is allowed through the firewall. I switched AV off, and changed priority to high. Still exactly the same, JD goes up to 64kbps and then immediatly back to 0.
Is it possible that my ISP caps downloadrates on certain ports? (How could I find out?) |

Oh, actually a restart seemed to be neccessary - now it seems to be fine, really must have been the firewall... Thank you, Jiaz!

Downloads are normal http/https traffic, not different than browser or other tools.
Thanks for the feedback. Sometimes a restart is all that is needed
