Not extracting into the right Folder
I've had some problems with the archive extractor namely that it extracts to the wrong subfolder:outch: JD1 had no problems with this.
Please give a status report on this. |

Yeah, I've had the same issue for a long time where if you're downloading multiple extractable links, often 1 or 2 of the links will extract it's files into a previously extracted archivename folder and not the current correct archivename folder. Quite annoying.

Yup, confirmed - happened also to me... Sometimes JD extract packages (with folder names based on packagenames) to one folder:
package A --> extracts to folder A package B --> extracts to folder A package C --> extracts to folder A Maybe the problem is not with extractor but with the Packagizer which incorrectly stores the destination folder for packages - the foldername for package B is the same as the name for package A, for the package C again the same foldername as for package A... It's really hard to repeat this bug, looks like highly random issue, but you're right it is quite annoying. |

Not sure about the packagizer. I still have the problem with no active rules in the Packagizer and no subfolders being created for the packages, only folders on extraction.

Can you explain step by step how to reproduce your issue?

Set Archive Extractor to Create Subfolder.
only if archive root contains > 1 files Subfolder pattern: %ARCHIVENAME% Download multiple links containing zip or rar files that when extracted will have multiple files in them. What should happen is filename.rar should create a "filename" folder with extracted results inside. What often happens is some extracted files are in the correct archivename folder and some when extracted during the same download session end up in one of the previous archivename folders and not the archivename it's being extracted from. It may rely on links coming from the same file site or it may rely on links added at the same time / same application session. It's things like this that make it unsure, but it always happens eventually. |

Not extracting into the right Folder
Hello,
I've installed and used the JDownloader2 Beta on my Ubuntu 12.10 OS a few Months ago, and it works like a charm, except for one little Detail that is most annoying: When I download an Archive that contains another Archive, the JD extracts the Contents of the Downloads into another Folder is named after the Package. I've enabled that in the Options, and it works just like it should be. But then the extractor extracts the contents of the Folder again, and this time into the Root Download Folder. Why? Thos doesnt make any sense, I told JD to extract it to different folders to organize my Downloads, and now everything gets extracted into one Folder. This sucks, especially when there are Files with the same Name or many different Packages. |

Can anyone confirm this?

Merge same threads...
After to do several tests, I can't reproduce that. .__. However, @kdean and cbender, If you can reproduce the problem, you can use the Live chat, and look for coalado or jiaz, in order to have a TeamViewer sesion. Thanks for merging, I didn't find the other Thread.
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** is a file that contains another zip file that contains some jd source files (translation.xx.lng). When I download it, the file inside the .zip gets extracted to the wrong folder. Before i was extracting .rar files without any problems. Seems to be the filetype .zip that causes trouble. |

Not ever, but in the 80% of descripted situations jd extracts others archives of the same DL session in the same directory where the first file was extracted. A correct extraction path for all downloaded files is really rare event... This is happened today : I need to download 3 files. File 1.rar in package "1.rar", file 2.rar in package "2.rar" and a little file ciccio.rar in package "Other Files". Files downloads was completed in order : ciccio.rar -> 1.rar -> 2.rar. At the end all files was extracted in a dir named "\Other files" instead of 3 different dir named as files packages.. It's difficult to explain but I hope it's clearly enough... Quote:
Sometimes happens that some files downloaded together are extracted in correct path meantime others of them end up in the wrong one in totally random way... Last edited by Belino; 31.05.2013 at 16:12. |

I can confirm it.
This behavior occurs for several weeks. Before, this feature worked fine in JD2. |

What seems to trigger this problem for me is if I've previously deleted a package that's above the one that's being extracted
After that it's like the extractor's using the wrong index for the path names eg package being extracted is 10th down the listview, but it's using the 9'ths path name |

About 6 months i have this issue, just search in forum... anyway, Packagizer in JD 2 Never, Never, have appeared, only disturbs, JD1 is so simple, how can JD2 create a name packagename ex; To Move to Video, or music if the rar name is, jkhdsk.rar?, or music lwewe.rar?
I Copy all links in firefox, then in JD1 i rename Pakage, Ok Perfect, nothing more, this go to the folder by name pakagename, is so Simply, why complicate? |

At this moment I'm downloading 7 episode of a serie tv. Every one of them has 4 rar files into a package named "episode.1x0X", where the X is the number of episode. Well, at end I've just 2 folders ( insted of 7 ) made so : \episode 1x02 episode.1x02.avi episode.1x06.avi episode.1x10.avi episode.1x13.avi \episode 1x08 episode.1x08.avi episode.1x09.avi episode.1x11.avi The download order in JD was the same of episode order. Try this way and it's sure that you'll see the issue. Last edited by Belino; 13.06.2013 at 20:13. |

Pakagizer, is the problem, this never works, never...
If i download from Youtube, how can pakagizer can find if is a tutorial video, a clip video, or funny video??... going create a rules for all artists , all tutorials or funny.., or going to put in all from yotube in same folder, absurd, this need to be cataloged... If i click in others/move to new package, files ex: .avi, .mp3, .pdf, going to right folder. Now in .rar don't extract to the name package, and i have in settings archive extractor D:\<jd:packagename> An yes, i prefer in this case JD1, others/move to new package, all perfect, all cataloged... |

Is this bug (extracting to the wrong folder when downloading/extracting multiple archives at the same time) being worked on? I get it all the time, so much so I usually leave the archive extractor disabled. This is pretty much the only problem I have with JDownloader 2 Beta.
I'm not 100% sure how to reproduce it, but usually if multiple archive downloads finish at a similar time (and/or files are queued for extraction) it extracts to the wrong folder for me. If nobody is currently working on it, I'll see if I can find a reliable way to reproduce it and submit a patch next weekend. Last edited by markus123; 14.06.2013 at 01:59. |

what i m doing wrong? EX; i select 12 rars, and right clik other/move to new package, i put "Tutorial"
Now, this create 2 folders with archive name, and not a packagename. If i put D:\ " this go to" D:\render3d\render3d.avi if i put D:\<jd:packagename> " this go to" D:\render3d\render3d\render3d.avi Any solution? Last edited by eus; 15.09.2013 at 19:58. |
