Default Newest Updates made JDdownloader freeze

Just started using this program a week ago and it ran flawlessly until i restarted my computer,
restarted JDdlr and checked ok to get updates.

The updates apparrently failed, then JD froze when adding links through link collector.
Had to end task to restart it. Uninstalled, reinstalled got updates successfully...good to go...
then started adding links..good...then freeze up...end task...add links...freeze up...end task...etc.

What did they do? It was working flawlessly until the updates today

After todays update, the link collector no longer seems to check properly. Is tells me files are not found, but I can download them normally, usually from Rapidshare.

Exclamation

I am in exactly the same predicament as MkCanuck9er.

Edited to add: The only addons I have active are JD-Chat, JD-HJMerge, & JD-TrayIcon Light.

The same to me... just since a few days.
Just the 1st link is running OK normally... but when adding some more it freezes.

I updated and it still freezes but not always so it is hard and time consuming to reproduce. I used uploadjockey links, but I am not sure if I can post the links as an example because they point to a copyrighted tvshow.

I hope you guys will do a bit more testing on this issue because it's extremely annoying to have JD freeze up during downloading.

don't get me wrong , I like JD a lot, good proggy!

JD doesn't freeze frequently regarding this issue.
Since my previous post it happened one more time (today), this time I was using rapidshare links. The freeze happens after I click add in the "add links window" and before the package window pops up.

I noticed there is now another update so I hope won't encounter this problem again but if it does I will report it.

Thanks guys

Reporting back I can say that after the last update JD is still freezing when adding links. I was using rapidshare links this time.

Just to let you know...JD linkgrabber issue was not resolved with the last updates, in fact JD froze immediately after updates when adding links. :(

Wish there was a way to load in the original version without updates...it worked flawlessly

Any idea when the linkgrabber rewrite will be ready?

Thanks

If you would have read the changelog news on homepage There was not a single JD Chance in update We only prepare our next update, so it will be faster!
Gui Redesign still in progress, but linkgrabber is 95% done

this freezing happens to me too!
however I noticed that the downloads continue, even if the gui is blocked!
(I see the files that get bigger, and the network icon indicates that there is a lot of traffic...)
please fix it! thanks.
