Default [EventScripter] Captcha SMS / Email

For a few years now I have been wanting the ability to leave my laptop and have all of my downloads go on their own. Once the download is started and the captcha is answered I can leave but then I need to come back if there is another link which also requires captcha.

The feature I am looking for and would also be willing to help make is a feature that would text the image of the captcha to a cell phone or email the image to an email. Then if you replied with the code it would automatically use that as your submitted answer to the captcha. I can see how this feature may be sort of difficult to make. First there would be a way for the plugin to be able to send emails. (this could handle SMS too because most providers have emails that forward the messages) Next the plugin needs to be able to listen to an email or would have to support a server. I think listening to an email would be much easier. Finally, the plugin would have to be integrated into JD so that it send the image and use the response to answer captcha. It would also have to allow for more than 10 seconds for the captcha answer.

I am a Java developer at an investment firm and I would love to contribute to help make this plugin possible. If anyone could point me in the right direction on how I would integrate this feature into JD.

Anyways thank you. This is my first time for me to try to give back. JD is awesome!

SMS would generally the wrong medium to deliver pictures. You would need to use MMS which generally is more expensive service than compared to SMS or plain old internet traffic over mobile device. Email is just too slow once it passes spam filters, considering you would need to scrape the email server every 20 seconds or so to keep relatively up to date, most email providers wouldn't like that sort of additional server loads.

In JDownloader 2 we have developed captcha pushing via the webui and mobile apps. You can find them at http://my.jdownloader.org/

Your more than welcome to contribute to JDownloader family of projects, getting started guide http://jdownloader.org/knowledge/wik...nt/get-started

Actually you can do whatever you want once you got the picture from JD.
Officially, we will not implement a mail/MMS function but you can do it if you want.

Well then you must have misconfigured something - please post a screenshot of your captcha settings here and please post a log which shows the situation where a captcha prompt is supposed to appear but does not.

Please post your log-ID here | bitte poste deine Log-ID hier.
