I know this is not a JD issue, but i would like to know if someone else is having problems connecting to k2s lately. The captcha loads, i solve it, then it waits 30 secs and when try yo start the it says that there is no connection and goes to next link and ask for a new captcha and voila, waittime with no download completed.
It seems a internet problem, but is anyone else having this issue?

I myself have not been having any problems connecting or staying connected to k2s lately but...
Hey guys...first timer here...I, too, am having 30kb/s speed caps with k2s & tez downloads. I've read through the threads here but still can't figure out on my own where to find the referer info and what exactly to enter in the custom referer field. I'd appreciate a pm from someone with a referer/example and perhaps a little walkthrough...Thanks for your time.

I've read through the threads again about the custom referer setting and I'm still no closer to figuring this out on my own. I tried to pm a member for help but I'm not allowed to do that until I've submitted 3 posts (so this will be the 2nd)
If I could just find out how (not necessarily where) to find these referers I may be able to work out the rest but even searching the web has not helped me. What exactly is a referer?...maybe that can help us to find one. It seems other posters here have managed to work it out on their own and I'm usually efficient at things like this but I've spent hours on this already...please, a little help. Thanks...Sid

on the technical side of things, header referer is normally sent by your web browser based on your previous web location (url in the address bar typically).
I assume this is how its works on k2s so you need to find this information yourself. the uploader/owner of the file can set where users need to come from to obtain access to file or gain faster download speeds. Since you need to know where the file was originally posted you need to place this information in (static). The problem is some people repost.

Ok...so if I understand this correctly, I find a file i want to download (let's say in a forum post) and it has a link to a k2s page where I can download it from. Now, I know this same file can be found in several different forums...does that mean I need to find the forum it was originally (date wise) posted in and use that k2s link?
If not, how can I tell if it's the original post? How do I recognize referer info? I assume when you say "need to place this information in (static)" this refers to the "Set custom referer here" field on settings/plugin tab in jd2? Am I on the right track with any of this...or just chasing my own tail lol?

Extra information for VPN users.
In the settings of my VPN service I can choose between openvpn or wireguard protocol. With the wireguard protocol the speed is no longer 150 KB/s but only 116 KB/s (always with the same k2 url for testing). JD Administrators, if posting a log for each protocol can explain the difference in speed, just ask.
