Default Switch to Lberica JRE?

Ever thought of switching to Liberica JRE?

Seems faster, steadier and with much more support.

You can use whichever JRE you prefer.

We are not planning on changing the Java we deliver with the installer.
Any links which explain on why this is supposed to be "faster"?

Yes, but the portable java directory would be overwritten at every update.
Or not?

P.S: I have sight problems and the image verification is really a PITA. I have to ask someone to read it for me and even her needs to refresh many times to find a readable one. Please consider to implement some accessibility improvements.

I don't know where my quote is coming from but the sentence "Yes, but the portable java directory would be overwritten at every update." was not posted by me, at least not in my last reply and also it is not true.

The link: Thanks for the link.
Other developers will comment on this once they find the time.

Which image verification do you mean?
Please provide a screenshot.

Any captchas you see in JDownloader are not coming from us but from the websites you are trying to download from.
It is not on us to add accessibility features to solve captchas of external providers.

Nobody said they were your words. You are anyway telling me that the jre folder in JDownloader2 is never updated with newest java versions?

It is caused because you're in a restricted group, this restriction requires you to answer captcha for the first x posts then you are moved automatically to less restricted group. This is due to how you signed up to the forum.

You included that sentence in a quote which is supposed to be mine implying that I posted it.

How did I sign? Without blood?

JK

Is there any way to remove that restriction or change to some audio kind? It's really a PITA for visually impaired.

The Java delivered with JD is only used for JDownloader and not system-wide.
If you do not want to use that Java, remove it and install one on your OS - JD will use it then.

Either keep posting until it is gone or ask us to manually move you to the mentioned other user-group.
