Hello,
I'm running JDownloader headless via MyJD webinterface inside a TrueNAS iocage Jail and save the downloaded files into a ZFS mount. Now I have a weird behavior when downloading files with special characters. Instead of cleaning up the files the filename is being pruned on the filesystem and becomes e.g. "_EPH8C~7.MP4" This happens often on videos that include weird emojis or symbols (e.g. 🍒,•*´¨`*•.¸¸.•* ✨) in the title and the truncated file name makes the files hard to identify after downloading. However the file is being downloaded without corruption and when I manually rename the file (including the weird symbols) it works and the symbols are not a problem for my NAS. The only Symbols that I can't include in the filename are ( ? / \ : | < > * ) This is my log id: jdlog://8149311370661 Can I disable this behavior or do I have another Problem? |

Hi,
this truncation is not happening on plugin level. The items from your log are being stored with the emojis in their filenames just fine here. This is possibly a "wrong locale problem", see: https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...locale-setting

the locale fix really worked. I just added the code from your link to my JD Startup Script and now the filenames are saved correctly. Seemed to be an issue with the locales inside the TrueNAS Jail. Thank you very much! |
