Hello,

I had to reregister here with a new email as my old one is no longer active which is fine, my problem is not with the forums registration but I'm having a slight issue with deleting my old JDownloader account.

Since there is no option to change my email account I followed the steps from an older post here on how to delete my old account and reregister with a new one, however, the captcha challenge keeps failing on every attempt.

A new captcha is presented once I click on the "OK" button with the message "Captcha Challenge failed!". Tried at least a dozen times, I just can't get past it.

Should I forward you that email address so you can delete that account so that I may reregister with a new one and update my login details on my JDownloader manager or just abandon that account and reregister anyway?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi,
Deletion of the old account: just contact us via support@jdownloader.org and ask for deletion.

Registering of the new account:
We did get multiple reports in the past about antiviris applications interfering with that new myjd register-captcha.
Check if that is the case and/or try to register on a mobile device and see if you're running into the same issues here.

Thanks for your reply, I followed the support link included in your reply and sent an email with said email address to delete.

Also tried to delete the account using my mobile device as mentioned with no luck.

I only use Windows Defender with no other virus scanner as I restrict my downloads to trusted multi-hoster sites such as Alldebrid and Real-Debrid and rarely go astray.

I'll wait for confirmation from support that my old email account is deleted so I may re-register a myDownloader with my updated one.

That hint was not about the account deletion but only about your login captcha problem.

You will get another reply once your myjd account is deleted.
