try restarting this link(plugin outdated?) youtube
when the progress reaches 100% of an .m4a or .mp4 from youtube it stops with an error: try restarting this link(plugin outdated?).
JD2 is updated to latest and ffmpeg is updated to latest. Both files appear incomplete since they end up with the .tmp to the extension regardless of the 100% progress. forgot to mention that they fail to convert/demux 1080p 60fps (1080p_60fps_H264-128kbit_AAC).mp4 Last edited by RPNet-user; 06.10.2018 at 10:53. |

Haven't been downloading any YT stuff for the past few months and just now realized the plugin is bad. For video download both video and audio parts are downloaded but final remuxing fails!
For audio-only download, also failure and the downloaded hash does doesn't play (unlike with the above). What can I do now? Still on XP, JD2 (latest update), legacy FFmpeg codec |

Your using old XP and since recent ffmpeg updates you have to install/use older/working ffmpeg version that you install yourself.
You can use this mega.nz/#!LYNm0ARD!U8_xvNRchJkdJdH1uCHmeMc1WCao6mFwJ7KdonsM2Sk (the latest one we provided for XP) Don't overwrite existing binary but place somewhere else and then setup path in Settings-Advanced Settings-search for ffmpeg and ffprobe. You can change path via rightclick context menu Newer ffmpeg versions no longer support XP/Vista

In fact, regarding the outdated FFmpeg issue, I DID HAVE tackle that last year (upon the admin's suggestions) with success... until later towards the end of 2018 Check member Gweilo's post (#52) https://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?p=432758 This is what I'm experiencing exactly right now: the AUTOMATIC RESET of FFmpeg folder location AT EVERY PROGRAM RESTART is a BIG problem which I did not experience back in July. In my case, I have had a separate folder for the XP-compatible FFmpeg version (say, "i386_legacy"), so the folder location would be set to C:\Program Files\JDownloader v2.0\tools\Windows\ffmpeg\i386_legacy\ However, after restarting JD2, the folder location resets again to... C:\Program Files\JDownloader v2.0\tools\Windows\ffmpeg\i386\ Since when did user settings are NOT saved and being reset? That was NOT the case before!! In the end I had to manually copy and paste the two FFmpeg files to the i386 folder. This temporarily solves the problem, albeit not with 100% success (when tackling YT downloads). So perhaps the main issue now is the program bug in that user settings are NOT being saved? Please advise and investigate!!! Lastly, my log-ID regarding the above 23.01.19 13.04.32 <--> 23.01.19 13.00.31 jdlog://8470576935451/ Last edited by anon743; 23.01.2019 at 08:16. |

Would it be possible to create a new log? Close JDownloader. delete the logs folder
then start JDownloader and set correct path to ffmpeg, then close JDownloader and start again and check if path is still the same. if not, then please close JDownloader and zip the logs folder and send to support@jdownloader.org I'm not able to reproduce the issue so I need more help/input from your side. If possible we can also do a teamviewer session and check this together, just contact us via support@jdownloader.org
