as i said, this can also be isp/fileserve/iwf issue.

I also have a problem with Fileserve. It keeps disconnecting on me.

I can download it just fine using IE8.

i have a free fileserve account that used to work fine through jd but now it shows up as invalid account

because i also had another problem, i removed, cleaned up and reinstalled both jd and java as described at posts 383-385 on the rapidshare problems thread here
i've also added the fileserve url as an exclusion in the av (avast) web shield

Free fileserve accounts are no longer supported by jD.

You're having connection issues. I recommend to :-

1) Allow java and javaw in your firewall and virus software. Disable (or un-install) the html/web scanner in your virus software.

2) Reduce the Max.Con. setting (bottom right corner of jD window) to 1. Reset the affected files.

Please, monitor the Changelog page.

1) Pay attention to what Jiaz has written it is IMPORTANT.
2) If the error only happens occasionally, it is almost always either your antivirus or the host. The antivirus problem happens when you allow your antivirus to scan data as it is downloading (it should only scan the file after it is downloaded).
3) Some of these problems only occur for free downloads. Please be specific in your messages.
4) Read the Hoster Plugins rules and always provide the requested information. That includes at least 3 links that work in a browser, but cause an error in JD. Provide a log showing JD using the links. If we cannot find the reason for your problem in the regular Log, we will ask for an Emergency Log.

I did add java and javaw in NOD32, and also reduce max.con to 1. But I'm still having problems with Fileserve. It still sometimes said disconect, sometimes said pluing error out of date.

All other hosts work fine; Megaupload, Rapidshare, Hotfile, etc.

If you applied the exceptions to your firewall as well, I would propose to un-install the virus and reboot your computer. It's possible you need special removal software and registry cleaners to remove it.

If you've a firewall in your router you can un-install the other as well.

Not that it's a big problem but JD can't read my FS account status?

It says:
"ServerError, will retry later."

Traffic reads "Unlimited" wich is normal.

Expire Date reads "Unlimited" wich is also incorrect.

Are you guys aware of this?

Hmm nope, doesn't fix it.
Could it be that JD doesn't recognise special characters in my password?
Then again, JD would probably say the account info is incorrect, right?

I also have a hotfile premium but this one shows up correctly.

EDIT: I submitted a ticket but changed my fileserve password in case they need to log in and guess what... I just found the problem lol.

Now my account info shows correctly!
In my original pass I had special characters such as "<".
It appears JD has problems with this. My new pass only consists of letters/numbers and now JD says PREMIUM as well as expire date etc.

Do I need to contact adminstration again to let them know?

EDIT2: I closed the ticket myself and posted a reply about the special characters.

EDIT3: OMG, just noticed fileserve doesn't allow these characters?!
It says:
"Only letters, number, hyphens (-), or underscores (_)."
Yet, mine had special characters and was able to login with these.
So maybe it's not a JD problem afterall...
