I've also experienced this a few days ago. I see three possible causes :-

1) This is just another bug at FSe that can be added to their already long list of bugs.

2) It might also be a way to lure people into buying accounts.

3) A last reason I see is that their servers are overloaded and they want to temporarily block free people to download from their servers.

This is what throws me to download from fileserve premium account. I can not restart the paused downloads inompletas or left, above which was continuava but now I have to restart the entire file. This is what shows me the log.

If you can download the files with your browser, something is blocking jD. I recommend to :-

1) Allow java and javaw in your firewall and virus software. Disable (or un-install) the html/web download scanner in your virus software.

2) Reduce the Max. Con. setting (bottom right corner of jD window) to 1. Reset the affected links.

i had anothe rproblem with oron when i made this post and both prbs have been solved by uninstalling then reinstalling jd.

Hi. I don't know if this has happened only to me or not, but it has been a few days since Fileserve started to ask me to type in a captcha several times despite the fact that the characters I type in are correct. This seems to happen three times for each link, after which the characters are accepted.

Initially, I thought that I typed in wrong characters, but as time passed, I have realized that it is not the case and that the same thing happens over and over even when I type in absolutely correct characters.

Is it just me or does the same happen to anyone else? If it is only me, what can I do?

I've noticed the same thing. Multiple different captchas have to be entered one after the other until it takes even though they are typed in correctly.

Please read "fileserve for the lack of a better word isnt working". I took that title from the original poster.

If you can systematically download from FSe with your browser and without typing multiple reCaptchas, then there might be a problem at the level of jD.

Have the same problem - multiple captchas. Can download no problem via browser - just a problem through JDownloader. I believe the problem is a captcha timeout issue - always works for short words or if you type really quickly. If you take your time and type carefully you get another captcha.

Need to test this further to confirm....

Just tried 2 new downloads and typed captcha slowly - worked fine so either the problem has gone or that's not the answer :o(

There is definitely a multiple captcha problem.

For the past few days, I thought I went retarded as I had to type each captcha (only for fileserve), 4-5 times before it is accepted and download starts. This was for every download.

However, when I type the captcha from my browser, it has worked 3 times in a row now, never had to repeat.

I'm 100% sure Fileserve is doing something with it's captcha to purposely like with jDownloader.

What about a complete and detailed log?

About a weeks ago, when I download some files with Jdownloader. everytime it asks for a captcha, I have to write de letters 2 o 3 times even the first try is correct. For example:

If Fileserver shows: 'Goe343 somes' and I write 'Goe343 somes' , then it asks me again with a new captcha as if I had written it wrong the first time. Other time it asks me for a third try. If I use the Fileserve web for that purpose, I don't have any problems, the first try is always Ok

Note: The letters for the example is only random

Hello, New Here for help for problems. It turns out that fileserve has given me many problems lately because the downloads are rather slow and deliberate in the connection, in addition to losing connection downloads and no longer continuing and that tells me that the server will not accept loads of parts and must be restarted everything and is upset because the whole thing and is not lost time when worked correctly. I use java 6 update 27 and the two versions of jdownloader happens, this is normal and it is for nigthly tester, I've uninstalled and deleted varis times cookies and nothing, as my connection providers and whether all is well because I have no problem with any other website or server, I hope your help.

If everything is working fine except that host my recommendations are :-

1) Please contact FSe. They probably won't react, but your e-mail will increase the size of their inbox.

2) Try to avoid that host as much as you can. Search for mirror links.

Note that without a complete and detailed log nothing else can be said.

I've tryed with manual captcha... ...3, 4, captchas and nothing...
I've tryed with normal browser download and gone FINE.

Yeah, I've noticed the triple entry thing as well. On my two prompts I just hit a random key and enter and don't bother, then I type it in the third time and it works. And it doesn't happen when I'm downloading one file after another, only if there's a longer pause.

Or at least I was 3 days ago. I haven't downloaded anything since then.

sorry I have some problem with premium account fileserve (also filesonic).
i download at 100kb/s instead 1mb/s (speed at which I should download),
I download very slowly despite Account premium. this happens to be 3 weeks
does anyone know why?

i use jdownloader but also with other programs is slow
