Default slow mega decrypting

Mega decrypting time was for a 40 MB file about 4 minutes using 100% CPU, speed 2660 MHz. With mega firefox extension the time is only 50 sec.

what's the reason ?

Now decrypting was 1.5 min. I thought JD2 does it locally, from rar.dec the rar file.

The download goes with max speed, I don't think it's a firewall problem, and tried with disabling it, no change. The decrypt time varies from 2 sec to 7 min, and mostly uses 100% CPU, when slow.

See my other post "100% CPU usage after download" :
http://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=47002

In both cases the high CPU usage occurs after the download finished.
Maybe these are only for me ? No one else has complained about.

I don't know about rename.
However the extract of the archives itself is slow too, probably because the 7zip library used.
Mega download and decrypt is new in JD2, I can imagine that there is some problem with it or with it's usage.

Same problem here, I had this problem like 1 or 2 months a go but then it didnt happen again, but TODAY Im getting the same problem again with a 20mbs file but with a 200mbs works fine and the only way to solve it, it is to kill JD2 because my PC is kinda old, but when I use Firefox to download the same 20mbs file it works fine.

OS: Windows XP.

I don't have any problems with your links, my PC is very old too. For me take about 6 seconds to add to the linkgrabber those links (added at the same time). Still I don't have high usage of CPU. Wait for another user reply.

Best Regards,

**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

Again I had to kill JD and after I opened JD again this appear, "Decrypting" but it doesnt do anything and I cant use the file.

It doesnt happen with all files so it looks like it is random

if it's random, maybe it's some server restriction puts a certain amount of files / links ...
something similar to what putlocker commented, to reach 100 files downloaded (approximately)

if you can reproduce the issue, please join our IRC support channel, so we can initiate a team viewer session.

from post

causes for me the decrypting problem too - 100% CPU using Win XP.

1st try: after 5 minute I stopped JD2.

However after restart I saw the decrypting finished, it seems to be complete.

2nd try: after 12 minutes the decrypting finished.
I watched how decrypting happens from xxx.dec to xxx : the 1st 60 MB was only 1-2 second, after this the decrypting was more and more slow.
When the size of the two files were equal, after about 10 seconds JD2 removed the dec file, CPU usage went down, download "Finished".

Regards,

@Jiaz is there other fast method for this?

i mean i was using Megadownloader and this was much faster, or there is other method which don't require decrypting ?

never saw it decrypting after downloading
JD after finish one download from mega are paused and won't continue while decrypting, is this normal ??

My Best Regards

It has been this way since day one. Download first, then decrypt.
Decryption speed is only limited by CPU/disk IO speed. Can't be much faster, but other tools (eg megadownloader) can download AND decrypt at the same time.
Decryption is part of the download process and therefore the download slot is in use until the decryption has finished
