packagename automatically renamed
when i add some downloads to linkgrabber and want to rename the package to something with a dot between the words (word1.word2.word3) its always automatically renamed without dots (word1 word2 word3).
it worked flawless so far until the last few days. could you please fix this? |

@antonhuber: A bugfix of this this feature (this feature was inteded to work this way by default) is causing this. You can disable this via Settings->Advanced Settings->GeneralSettings.cleanuppackagenames

Thanks for the information.
Can it be possible please to have this option disabled by default? Introducing a breaking change silently on a application should always be avoided if possible. Users that would like the "feature (as it) was inteded to work this way by default" should activate the option knowing the impacts. |

@philippe: It's no breaking change, it was a bugfix for broken feature that was enabled by default.

@philippe: Believe me, fixing this one causes more headaches than it should. in the end most likely we will mass reset the setting and disable by default as more are *not* wanting it than waiting for it to be fixed. can't make everyone happy
