Natürlich ist das auf Dauer umständlich, deswegen haben wir ja den JD

Gut wäre eine Möglichkeit ein Script etc. in JD in Links, einen Wert automatisch austauschen zu lassen, wie in diesem Fall.

Auch bei Bildern gibt es in Youtube verschiedene Formate, einmal mit schwarzen Balken einmal ohne, abhängig von einem Wert den man austauschen kann. Was für einzelne Bilder ja kein Problem darstellt, ist allerdings in der Masse nervig.

Als Beispiel: In der Abo-Übersicht werden die Bilder in JD hinein mit schwarzen Balken geladen, lade ich aber einen ganzen Kanal werden Bilder ohne Rahmen geladen. Ich brauche meist alle Bilder aus dem ganzen Kanal mit Rahmen, das können mehrere hundert Bilder sein.

Geht aber nicht, wenigstens weis ich nicht wie, so muß ich in Irfanview die Rahmen per Batch hinzufügen.

Yes. See Settings -> Plugins -> YT


Those videos do not necessarily have to be deleted.
Even in my own playlists there are some "missing items".
The videos can have a "not playable but also not offline state" e.g.:
- Not playable in your country due to copyright stuff
- Video is private (but still online)
- Maybe more reasons(?)
Without API access you will not be able to see such videos but usually the YT website will at least show some kind of hint like "2 videos are hidden".
EDIT I may add: You might be able to find the IDs of such missing videos but when they're inaccessible, you won't be able to find the (former) titles of them so you still won't be knowing 100%, which videos "disappeared".


Your shouldn't need to do that.
While indeed in some cases it can happen that some items "get lost" due to unexpected problems like connection issues while parsing, that normally doesn't happen.

Why not just e.g. add 100 videos, wait and then simply check if 100 were added so you do not have to check one by one.
Also JDownloader has wonderful scripting capabilities so you could e.g. easily write a script which will check a list of links against all added items and tell you immediately, which items look to be missing.

Apart from that: JDownloader is a generic download manager.
Yes it has YT support but it is not specifically designed to download from YT.
You might be better off using another software which is specifically made for that purpose.
Example: yt-dlp (also open source).

Thank you for the info. Link Gopher looked very promising. Then i saw, that it sorted the links in the Playlist in a random order! That is nightmare, since i was picking up from video 351 in the Playlist, up to video 500something.
Then i tried Link Clump, i think it solved my problems, also with the option to include titles of the videos.
It's true, videos get deleted, get private, etc. it becomes a mess for someone who simply wants to keep some videos, and refreshes downloading a Playlist periodically after some months, it has to be in weeks after adding the videos, or sooner, for more chances of still finding them in place.

There is another issue though, which i believe has to do with JD. I have saved all links that i want to download in a text file, using Link Clump.
I then copy 10 by 10, the links to Linkgrabber, checking if the numbers of the videos is correct. This is what i noticed. I am speaking about fully available videos. In some cases, out of the 10, it MISSES 1 video, does not add it. I am copying again these 10 videos. Nothing changes. Then i highlight and copy only the address of the specific video, and it adds it normally. Any info on this? What is causing it, and can it be fixed.

Since Sunday no more YouTube Music downloads possible (alert: none; just no action completed) neither YouTube playlists (alert: "plugin defect"); single YouTube videos still shown and downloadable.

Sorry my changes announced in post #5567 didn't work properly and I even broke some stuff.
I'll use ther sunny weather as an excuse

I won't be answering each post in detail and just keep you guys updated on the next changes:

Changes:
- fixed playlist/channel crawler
- channel crawler will now also find total number of channel-videos and set them as property 'PLAYLIST_SIZE' -> Maybe another separate property would be better suited - what do you guys think?
- Shorts: my update broke crawling of single shorts -> That has already been fixed some days ago

We've already posted several workarounds for when the channel/playlist crawler is broken - yours is not new and not good as highlighting all items and copying them can also copy other unwanted items or even other channelURLs of channels you do not want to crawl.

Support for different audio tracks won't be added in the near future. Please use other tools to download specific audio tracks of such videos.

I have the same problem since the update that fixed the low speeds. It was working flawlessly before that update.

Say I copy 20 links to my clipboard, it may miss 1-2 videos.

Most of the time it miss about 10% videos. The more links you copy, the more will be missed in linkgrabber. Only workaround I found is to force JD to reanalyze the links, what I'm doing now is disabling-enabling the clipboard observer.

This problem happens mostly with shorts links, at least for me.

I have exactly the same problems since a few days.

Sometimes (but very rarely) added videos are shown as unavailable - after "Other/Reset" they are then found and downloaded without any problems.
And sometimes links from the clipboard are not found, i.e. loaded into the LinkGrabber, adding it then manually using ctrl+v works.

And, how should it be otherwise, both issues are not really reproducible,
in other words, if I try the same again it works fine.

- added support for YT auto generated playlists also called "Mix", limited to crawling items from the first page only as such playlist can contain an infinite amount of items

That update will e.g. make it possible to easily do things like:
- Crawl X oldest items of specified channel
- Crawl channel in different order than default order

Have you ever thought about introducing a channel monitoring feature?
So that yt channels in JD can be "subscribed" and newly published videos automatically appear in LinkGrabber.
I've been tinkering with a batch file which evaluates the corresponding RSS feeds for quite some time, but a build in function would be really cool.

We know that the demand is there but we will not do this for multiple reasons.

Also this is already possible using JD - it is just not very straightforward.
If you want to do this using JD: See EventScripter functionality.

Apart from this I'd recommend using other tools to accomplish such a "channel crawling functionality".

I had already looked around but found nothing really useful.
In the past, you could simply used the mail notifications, but unfortunately they no longer exist, which is why I now tinker with the RSS feeds.
Until this feature is then also discontinued by google, like they do so often.
If someone have a tip for such a tool or online service - I would be very happy about that.

- Fixed crawler stopping early because of duplicates inside playlists: YT does allow one playlist to contain the same item multiple times but JD won't add it multiple times
- Added BubblyNotification for some playlist crawling related events: alerts from YT and whenever items of a crawled playlist are missing

jDownloader fails sometimes (not always) to download videos on maccOS 13.5 (22G74) Ventura on Intel Mac.

I just copy the URL, paste into jDownloader, shows in LinkGrabber, disappears from it and does not show in the Downloads. All gone (as expected when it works) but nothing is downloaded. Pasting the URL again works as expected. For instance, for this video:

As said, the issue only happens sometimes. It arose some days ago.

Zu deiner Frage:
Dies ist offiziell nicht möglich, da JD nur die von YT bereitgestellten Dateiformate herunterladen kann.
Im Forum kannst du eine EventScripter Script finden, das dies für dich tun kann...oder du verwendest beliebige externe Programme, um die Dateien nach dem Download zu konvertieren.

--> Add a 18+ confirmed YT account to JDownloader and you will be able to download such content.

Were you able to spot the problem? It could be my bad luck, but I think it's getting worse.

I have reproduced it in a few PCs and VMs, so it seems a common issue.

Sure, but jDownloader does not show any prompt to login (as Youtube does to watch the movie; I am adult and I can watch the movie in Youtube).

In any case, applications like Downie downloads it (no questions asked). It would be great if jDownloader at least asked to login to download. Thanks!

I'm sorry but I haven't heard back from the developer working on this yet.
If in doubt, insert all links one by one as your problem is most likely a rate-limiting issue (Google "what is a rate limit?").

We're not planning to add a prompt yet.
You need to rely on the dummy results you are getting - as stated the errormessage is actually visible in your screenshot.
I know this is not the perfect usability but you need to keep in mind that JD is a software with a lot of historical growth

Either way JD is open source so you're more than welcome to contribute code yourself.

Do you think they have changed the rate limits? It seems possible but unlikely.

Everything was working fine, even after YT broke download speeds last time. The issue started as soon as the speed fix update dropped and I updated. It took me a few hours to update tho, so I'm not sure if there were some middle updates in between.

Adding the links one by one have the same issue. Sometimes linkgrabber refuses to work, so you have to disable-enable the clipboard observer. That usually makes the job as a workaround.

The only reason I made the report copying multiple links at the same time, is because that way it's easier to trigger the issue, but it sometimes happens when adding single links too.

There were never any hardcoded rate-limits.
YT can change them / behave differently for each user/account/IP. That is a blackbox.

While I can't imagine that that bug is new, you're free to use older revisions of our YT plugins.
Here is how:

Gerade getestet, erscheinen nicht im Linksammler.

Seltsam, beim ersten kopieren gingen sie nicht, erst beim kopieren eines anderen Links gehts dann meist wieder.
Oder ich muß auf Link analysieren gehen.
Also der Link ist geladen geht aber nicht, blöd wenn ich etliche Links kopiere und dann zig im Sammler fehlen.

Bisher war der Download von YouTube- Videos (alle verfügbaren Auflösungen, oder nur Audio) kaum je ein Problem, aber seit ca. 2-3 Wochen geht es nur noch sporadisch, meist aber gar nicht mehr. Mein Mac OS ist auf dem neuesten Stand. Ich bekomme stets die Meldung "offline content".

Bin ich der einzige oder hat YouTube ihren Code so verändert, dass das derzeit nicht möglich ist?
