Default Captcha skipping issue

Hi,

It seems user selected captchas processing option is not permanent.
It doesn't matter if I select Skip for host or Skip for package or Skip All, Linkgrabber asks me again and again...

I think jDownloader should respect user selected option for the session (until restart), not just the current linkgrabber task.

Thanks in advance,
Imre

Hi,
Please also add a log and some example URLs.

I think this option has never been designed to last for a session.

Keep in mind that a lot of people are also using JDownloader on NAS servers for example - a "session" would be very long on such systems.

If at all, a new setting for this might make sense though you can already permanently switch off captchas with the "Silent mode".

Hi,

Yeah, it would be great to add an option to control the scope of those cancels actions...

I just set up a filter for the time being, Silent Mode seems to be a bit extreme.

Cheers,
M

Please wait for an answer of Jiaz - he knows our current behavior for this better than I do.

At the moment the decisions are stored per download/crawling session. NOT for JDownloader session

It does! But your decision is for the current linkgrabber session and not JDownloader session as there is no way to see/revert your previous decision. without proper support, see ticket, you would wonder why adding no longer works or download fails.

there is already support, just turn on silent mode. No more captchas, but its not within the captcha dialog, its is its own gui button/option

Well, not really, because in my original post I described what I mean by session: "for the session (until restart)".

I think the right-hand side panel would be a good candidate to display & manage captcha skipping settings, it just need a bit of consolidation, IMHO.

Hi,

I think there's a slight difference between mute everything vs dismiss a very specific action. But that's just my opinion.

Correct. But without any support to revert/see/modify your previous decision when you apply it for the whole session/unit restart, then this will only cause confusion because ppl wonder why a download doesn't work/why adding fails...as there won't be any feedback/option to change it again...and then they restart JDownloader and it works again. so they would think this is a bug that can be solved by restarting JDownloader

So we first need a way to inform the user about this and give him opportunity to see/revert his previous decision without restarting JDownloader

for webinterface, perhaps a skip until browser refreshes page?
I just mute my phone when sleeping. Lately, I can not longer download more than 10 somehow and keeps asking captachas. I never reaches 20 connections.
just my 2 cents.
