Currently Im working away from home and it would be cool to be able to run jdownloader more easily by remote.

I have set up a VPN using VNC and Himachi, which is functional, but its kinda slow and involves taking links from a web browser on the remote machine into clipboard for jdownloader to grab them.

Its probably been suggested before, but a remote feature that allowed email sending of links, or a simple HTTP console to run it from another machine would be a very cool addition.

BTW, thanks to all the devs for this great little piece of software. I use jdownloader daily and its just the bees knees as far as Im concerned.

use remote control addon && browser extension to communicate with it. open port on your home computer. job done

there is webui also but that would be manual process of adding links.

both the above addons will be replaced by newer improved api / webui in JD2
