Advanced System Repair removed JDownloader files!!!!
Long story short- googled why captchas stopped working last night and it said it was most likely a registry problem and suggested using ASR to fix it. Downloaded the program and ran it only to have the JD icon on the computer disappear and buttons and images within the program (which was open) be replaced with icons saying "dummy." I went into my task manager to try to repair the program and it wasn't even listed in my programs anymore. I reinstalled it, but of course all the items I had saved to download are now gone.
Is there any way to get the list of files waiting to be downloaded back? Or am I SOL and have to start looking for them again? |

That list is in the \cfg folder.

Where do I find that?
And what am I looking for in the folder? What do I do to then get it back into the current list in the new program? Last edited by 2talll; 31.07.2019 at 08:15. |

It is a subfolder inside your JD's installation folder.
If you don't know about it, most likely you don't have the backup and by re-install, it has been overridden.

Can you give me the exact location of the folder? I haven't downloaded anything yet or even put anything into the download list so maybe the old one is still there.

Default location: C:\Users\your-username\AppData\Local\JDownloader 2.0
The files are downloadListnnn.zip and linkcollectornnn.zip.

You can also open the about dialog of JDownloader and there you can see/open its installation folder

In case you still have access to your old cfg folder, best would be to restore it completely.

I ended up saying screw it and started fresh. I lost a few downloads that weren't done yet, but I also gained Filejoker working again! Those lost downloads were because Filejoker kept giving me a connection limit error and would only download one or two files a week. Now it seems to be working correctly so my lose was actually a gain in the end.

Thanks for the feedback! At least it's working again
