Hi, earlier today I left my PC running with the "ShutdownExtension" enabled, so after completing the download queue, system get hibernated. But to my surprise, some hours later I saw JD2 didn't do the hibernation task, but kept opened with a warning message about the shutdown task would require "administrator rights".
I'm wondering why? Since it never did that before and I'm already the system administrator. Right now, I'm trying to replicate that message appearing, but I'm getting just the expected message, with the time counter. ![]() |

Depending on your os settings/permission, JDownloader requires admin rights to change shutdown mode to match your JDownloader settings. Once the shutdown mode is changed, you no longer will see the dialog

An example, windows is setup to shutdown while JDownloader is setup to hibernate. then JDownloader has to change this setting and that requires admin rights

OK, but this is weird, since I always do hibernate my system, and I remember I'd used the hibernation feature form JD2 before and it always did it fine, without showing that last "administrator rights" message. This is the first time I noted JD2 did it like this:
Time counter message > Admin. rights message (with a not ticked option to not showing it anymore). Before, it always did it like: Time counter message > Hibernation. And I didn't remembering doing any changes to either my system nor JD2 in that respect. That's why I'm wondering to myself why it started showing that message at all. I will thick that message's box, and hopefully it doesn't show up anymore. Thanks. |

I can only tell why JDownloader shows up that dialog. I can't tell what changed your system settings
