Uptobox.com PREMIUM downloading wrong file [NOT a JD issue]]
Whenever i try to download a file from uptobox it always downloads a completely different one.
Going directly to the site and downloading from there works fine. heres a link **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** the original filesize is 1GB and when the linkgrabber checks it that's what it says but when i start to download it changes to 310MB heres the log 25.09.17 09.53.37 <--> 25.09.17 09.58.14 jdlog://2063614015941/ |

Seems to be a Server Error. Content-Length: 325548108 is reported filesize by server.
Can you please provide some more example links?

**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** went from to log jdlog://2163614015941/ this has been happening for like awhile now, probably 3+ weeks. edit: weird i just tried to download the small file (last link) without the premium account and it went fine. Couldn't test the other ones as it gave me download limit error. Last edited by Tyler; 25.09.2017 at 17:29. |

some plugins have fail overs which are greedy regex. this can pick up wrong filesize from HTML at the linkchecking stage.
on download JD gets the real filesize from the header info, this should not be wrong (re: Jiaz answer). best test for you would be check in Browser see what you get for the exact same URL. raztoki

it's not just the wrong size, it's a completely different file.
I did some testing and it only seems to be effecting downloads from a premium account. |

Thanks for the feedback
is it mainly happening with video files? think they might have a streaming feature which transcode and provides non original file.

Very weird hoster-side issue!
I've picked a particular testlink which, according to website, was ~250 MB in size. In free mode, I always got a ~250 MB file but via premium (browser + JD) I got everything between 400 MB and 2,7 GB. I haven't checked the content but I guess they have a bad bug which leads to users getting WRONG FILES ... I suggest contacting their support. GreeZ pspzockerscene

it's not a bad bug sir, recently they started to these to all those accounts which are shared much by other people other than original user of the account. Sharing of account may be in consent with the original user or without him. In general such account can be considered as blocked by uptobox. JD has no any plugin issue.

Hello,
I have the same issue as well. I am using an RPNet premium account to download Uptobox and noticed this problem as well. This issue does not happen with the same files from different hosts (Turbobit, 1FICHIER, etc..) Maybe because I'm using RPNet? @pspzockerscene When you used premium and got different sizes, did you use a direct premium account with Uptobox? or an aggregate hosting service? |

It must be an issue on UptoBox site when it happens also when you are using a multihoster service, which uses a premium account and then suffers the same issues

Seems like this is true, i asked the Uptobox Supporter why my filesize is always wrong and he wrote me this.
Hello, as you can read in our TOS ( here : **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**) using a dedicated server is forbidden. Your account is now back as usual, but note that if you are ban again for the same reason, it could be a definitive ban. Regards |

is jdownloader even a dedicated server? i thought its just a download manager

@bister77: No it's not. You're downloading from your own machine like you would in browser. Zooropa was using a multihoster/dedicated server.
@bister77: vpn/proxy are also dedicated server, so pay attention when using them

@bister77: maybe ask the support again and ask for reason. maybe it was just generic response

admin told me a while back (when they first introduced this behaviour, and most of the complaints came about) they also do it for account sharing.
so they clearly use it for multiple reasons, though all typically against there TOS.
