Can't make large amount of Packages in LinkGrabber start Download.
I'm on Windows 10 Pro, only using the build in Windows antivirus software and am running the at the time of writing this newest version of jDownloader 2.
My Problem is that I have ~760000 links in ~1800 packages and no matter what I do (selecting all or just clicking the Start all Downloads button) they won't move over into the Downloads section. |

Please check About dialog of JDownloader. Menu-Help-About and post the shown 3 numbers of memory or screenshot of it. My guess is that your java is restricted in memory and not enough working memory available to handle that amount of links (eg move them from linkgrabber to downloadlist). That many links definitely require some modifications to memory settings. I guess JDownloader is also *slow/sluggish*?
Please provide requested information and tell me how much memory your system has

Yes, as I suspected the memory has reached the limits. In your JDownloader folder (you can find it in about dialog, click on it) you will find .vmoptions files.
Open them with texteditor and remove all lines with -Xmx... and add new line with -Xmx8g Your JDownloader currently uses about max 4GB of memory and more memory is required to work with that many links (move then from linkgrabber to download list). I suggest to incease limit to 8GB (-Xmx8g) but of course you can experiment with less first, eg 6GB (-Xmx6g)

@invisibleman: check if you're using 32 or 64bit jvm. this might be caused by 32bit jvm.
With 64bit jvm you should be able to use multiple GB for heap

After a fresh install (now I really have a 64bit jvm-version) it works. I can use a value bigger then 1GB in .vmoptions
Thanks for this hint! |

You're welcome and thanks for the feedback. With 24GB system memory, and that many links, you should set to Xmx4g for example. With more memory the whole usage should be much more *fluent*
