I'm sorry but I can't reproduce an error. Can you please provide example links. Maybe there are different types of restrictions.

sorry bad English
Normal youtube videos like this one: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** is recognized automatically by JDownloader and is downloaded one mp4 file (video) and one m4a file (audio) I love it, very nice. My whole life I download m4a files from youtube music videos using JDownloader. However since TODAY, at least for me, video music are not being downloaded from Jdownlader anymore, see example below: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** now JDownloader downloaded only a jpg file and text file from youtube video music link. This is some kind of copyright protection? ![]() Or is just a bug that happens only with me? ![]() |

What means "Status: Rejected" ? I am not understanding. Does this mean that was rejected the request to fix this issue?

Rejected or not, if you update and restart I found that the issue was fixed.

@fhc and @kdean: rejected because it works again without any changes on our side. My guess, either it was a temp. issue on yt side or they were testing future changes to come. We will see

Seems to be working now for a link that previous didnt but I'm still getting an invalid log in error in JD so possibly age block related videos that require a logged in account still aren't accessible?
Says : unknown error - temp disabled. 05.04.19 10.03.07 <--> 05.04.19 01.24.29 jdlog://2467776935451/ Last edited by Patr100; 05.04.2019 at 22:02. |

Hello,
The past week or two I've noticed some inconsistencies with how JD brings back variants of videos. It affects a small selection of videos, usually not popular ones. In my specific case, I have set the plugin to give me the best mp4 and mkv variant of videos. This is what happens with affected videos: - The mp4 variant comes back correctly, but won't allow selecting the 360p version. When you select the 360p, it just resets to the highest resolution available. - The mkv variant comes back with the mkv links plus a 360p mp4 link. The mp4 link is selected by default and you can't change to any mkv link, it just resets back to the 360p mp4 one. Here;s an example affected video: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** Here's my logs: jdlog://2618776935451/ Here's a video demonstrating the issues as well as my settings: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** Let me know if anything else is required. Thanks |

Yes, JD2 downloads that video without any problem. Now that I think about it, I should've tried it before even suggesting anything *feels like I'm an idiot*. Not sure why the other guy posted this issue but I think you can close this issue (working fine with me at least).

I have similar problem as BillyCool. Just in my case, JD does not allow me to select the 1080p variant of the video even if it is offered - it always fall back to 360p when I select the 1080p variant in Link Grabber. The video offers 1080p on YT itself.
In some cases, when the 1080p variant is offered, download ends with error "Try restarting this link (plugin outdated?)". When I check for updates, JD tells me that I have the latest version. Example video with this issue: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** |

confirmed, looks like something has changed with higher resolutions (not all videos)

I can't download any age-restricted videos from youtube.
It says "Sign in to confirm age" and I tried to do so but it says something about needing youtube premium account, i don't understand. |

Not sure if it's the right place to post it, so if it isn't feel free to move it to the proper place.
So until now I would've always used Jdownloader to download videos from youtube, some of them had adult content warning where you need to log in and agree to be 18+ years old, I always was able to download these videos as well by adding my account info into Jdownloader account manger in settings but recently it not works anymore, could you fix it? :/ Also would it be possible to add to the account manger support for **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** ? JD already support e-hentai and only difference is that exhentai required a user log-in in order to be used but the account manger don't have it on the list so I can't add my account info in order to make JD to download from it |

Youtube is probably the biggest host, so lots of people are affected... If you're not planning to fix this Youtube problem, please let us know so we can move on. |

Good afternoon
Thanks a lot for this great Plugin! If we add a YouTube live stream to JDownloader too early, then the Plugin just recognizes files with about 150 kBytes. If we wait some hours and then remove this Download-Task from the LinkGrabber and add it again, then the Plugin still does not recognize the full files: it still reports about 150 kBytes. If we restart JDownloader and add the Link again, then it works perfectly. Therefore it would be great if we could disable the "File grabbing Cache" for live streams - or: if start "Check Online Status" on this Download-Task that it is really going to check the online status :-) Thanks a lot, kind regards, Jehoschua |

@Jehoschua: Live Streams are not yet supported. It will work once the live stream is over and the video is converted and normally available

it's hard to guess when the Video is normally available (because the browser always displays the video). If one adds the URL too fast to the LinkGrabber, then the Download Task has to be deleted and JDownloader must be restarted - otherwise, the YouTube Plugin needs between 1 and 2 days to detect that the video is normally available. Therefore, it looks like the YouTube Plugin uses a cached result - which could be a JDownloader issue and not a Plugin issue. |
