Pls try the Reconnect-Recorder (in simple view), enter ip, then browser should open , there you do a reconnect yourself and jd will record it for you.

Copy and past into Liveheader/Curl
Copy and paste below, reason it wasn't working was because of adblock plugin for firefox and/or zonealarm was messing it up.
Code:

Are you sure you're using the proper router IP? Try it in your browser to be sure.

Part of the problem is that each provider writes their own script for the Action Tec. I found that out from TDS.net tech support.
Still won't work. Thanks for all the time and effort. Unless we can come up with their script and change it to work with JD we're stuck. |

Can you reconnect using the web page of your router?

Yes.
Hang on - am I supposed to replace "%%%routerip%%%" with my router IP in this script? Thought it would fetch that itself. . . |

You don't need to replace any variables. jD takes care of that. Just enter your router's IP address in the appropriate field.

Okay - still no reset when doing so. :(

Are you sure you've a dynamic IP address?
Please, read "Getting started with Reconnection" and also read the section on special routers in that thread. |

Before starting, you must find out your Router IP address. The Reconnection page in Settings has a "Find Router IP" button that usually works. If it cannot find an IP address, open a Command Window and enter IPCONFIG /ALL. The Gateway IP is probably your Router IP.
1) Use your browser to connect to your router and find Restart, Diagnostics, or some other way to change your IP. 1a) If there is no way to do that from the browser, search this Forum for UPNP 2) Exit your browser. 3) Start JDownloader and go to the Settings -> Reconnect -> Liveheader/curl tab. 4) Make sure to fill out the name and password that is needed to control the router. Make sure the router IP listed is correct. 5) Click Record Script and then start your browser. It should open to your router. If it does not, enter the router IP address in the browser address bar. 6) Repeat the steps from step (1) to change your IP address. The script recorder will congratulate you when the IP address has changed. 7) Exit your browser. 8) Click on the Change IP button or the Reconnect Now icon in the toolbar (usually second from right). It looks like two blue circular arrows. 9) If the Reconnection works, tick the checkbox on the Automatic Reconnect icon (just to the right of the clipboard).

I'm guessing the problem comes with the password to access the router's settings. When you type in the password on the router's home page, it's not shown plus the dots it puts there do not match the number of the letters in my password. Works fine manually, but I'm guessing this security feature is messing up JD's reconnect feature. |
